Morning lads and lasses!
Cheery thanks for the heads up re editing and yes we spend around £360 (on exactly what I'm not sure, corner shop is a killer here!)
RT lovely to see you too, OH will have told you I'm not so active on Book of Noggins at the moment, I've been a hiding but its lovely to start the new year bravely and in the company of fabulous chums.
EH - its a name that surely will go down with the Tilly Tidy - which I still do btw.
Morning all its a big BLEUGH here:
List for progress today, I am dressed and even showered. Coffee in hand, although I am now viewing this suspiciously as a luxury as I've only a bag left......hmm
Write full written notice for job *sigh have had so many convos about this now, seems to be delayed and delaed.
Invoices x 4
Shopping list
Look and see if there are any deals on delivery for any of the big companies locally or do I just go to MrAL or MrL
Fuel for the fire into the house
Post Office to send on something to the police to get some lost properly back from Aberdeen
I need to see if there are any BOOK selling sites which are worth it, so far not a lot of luck with those, but I've a tonne of books/dvds etc that could supplement this months income.
I'm sure there will be more but for now those will do.
Loving that the band is back together.4 -

Thanks Lucielle its good for motivation being accountable isn't it but I didnt' get everything done. GD arrived post nursery and the whole day turned into a tea break from three.
RT - its amazing hwo the little bits add up!
Well its really been a day of two halves.
One the one hand - made a leftover lunch from some chicken and some pasta which was in the freezer.
Went to greengrocer with DH spent £7.65 on a decent amount of fruit and veg.
Discovered the £40 voucher from work - changed that into asda voucher and used it to fill up the stores (dog food, dried stuff, seeds, bread flour, coffee, cheese etc etc) so the total I spent was £56.05 minus the chrissy voucher was £16.05 so do I count the smaller or the larger figure. To be honest I totally forgot about the voucher until I logged onto work emails.
Result. Even went in after dinner at DS house in town.
Free dinner coutesy of DS in swaps for some babysitting over the weekend. So whilst I had a chilli prepared it will do for another day.
Dog walked locally, got a few jobs done.
Not a bad day, not a NSD but spends were minimal but have set the cupboards up for the month ahead.

Ooh the Blue Light card gets you savings on all sorts of things if I remember rightly - that could be very useful and is definitely worth investigating. Excellent work on finding the Christmas voucher too.If it helps on the notice - remind yourself that there is precisely nothing they can do to stop you handing it in, and any Shilly Shallying on their part is almost certainly because they don’t like that people leaving reflects badly on THEM - which is flipping well should! Just stand firm and it will soon be part of your history!RT that made me smile - our current accounts are kept with a neat tidy number but the savings pots are allowed to be unruly - we have so many of them it would practically be a second job to keep them all tidy! I do love the way we all do things slightly differently!Book selling sites - I think a lot of folk use Ziffit? I know nothing about it though - now we have space books don’t seem to leave any more - so that may be completely wrong!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I've used ziffit - it was pretty easy. You download the app, then scan the bar codes of the books, select what condition they're in (I think) and it tells you instantly how much they'll pay. Then you parcel them up - and I think they actually arranged for someone to collect from our porch!
I agree about handing in your notice - YOU tell them when you're leaving, and then on that day, just leave. What are they going to do if you don't go in the next day - sack you?? (I know you are an upstanding citizen and don't want to leave anyone in the lurch, but you also can't leave yourself in the lurch!)
(Also, what does being left in the lurch mean, anyone know without looking it up??) 😁😂4
