NOW SOLVED Ipod touch setup - need password for Livebox router

Another ipod question. 3g ipod touch, fully charged and works once it is connected to the mains or computer. Unfortunately can't switch it on manually. Any ideas before I consign it to the bin?? This ipod is all of 18 months old and has already had the connection port replaced!!

Also remove any old unused MAC entries.. Just helped out a mate (I work in IT and he was going spare trying to connect new devices, so he asked for help!)
From within the admin console of the Livebox
Security > Associate Devices
Tick the ones you no longer use/old and delete.
Easy pairing failed regardless. I was connecting iphone 4 and 4s and it wouldn't work until the ARP table (MAC) was cleared down.
By far the most useless wifi router ever. Utterly shocking.0
