What are sloppy joes?  Meals look ok apart from stew lol. I have never been able to eat that or casseroles. Not saying I'm fussy lol! As for dumplings in a savoury meal :s. For me suet needs to be covered in jam or syrup and my mum's custard. (The only custard I will eat and it must be served immediately without any hint of skin).
As you can imagine I am not too popular with relatives as they have to wait until I am ready for the custard. My cheeky nephews and nieces sometimes walk around the table when serving my dessert teasing that the custard skin is forming!   :o. I have to threaten cut them out of my will lol!

I love stew and dumplings 😆 Skin on custard reminds me of the stuff we used to get for school meals 🤢

I found cutting down on sugar and carbs helps with my hot flushes but mine are diabetes related not menopause. Hope you can get some help from your GP soon

  • Sloppy joes are an American dish the recipe I use is https://natashaskitchen.com/sloppy-joe-recipe/ it’s a great way to use up mince. I love skin on custard so I’m kind of weird lol. I make a huge slow cooker stew and freeze the rest of the dumplings then put them on the tip while I’m heating it.

Nor been spending any money apart from the ecig liquid came yesterday and finally trying to lose some weight. The hot flushes are better than they were at least I’m getting some sleep now thank god. Now the cold shivering is getting to me lol I just can’t win either freezing or hot.

First day back at work after 3 days off so I best get ready for the mayhem, just hoping it’s less busy, on the upside my work bestie is back so can’t wait to see her she’s been off for a while and looking be forward to a good gossip.

  • Work wasn’t too bad and I find out Monday if I’ve got the job I know I haven’t got the full time position but I’m really hoping I have the cover position. If I get that then May it could be full time as there are people taking voluntary redundancy so I think there will be 2 more full time positions available. Fingers crossed I’d love to get it.

it’s so cold here today so had to put the heating on can’t deal with being cold.

Me and my work bestie had a good night catching up helps at work when there is someone you get on really well with. Right off to bed to read currently reading The waitress by Emily Shiner she is one of my favourite authors.

I feel like winter is going to last forever at this rate. My hot flushes have calmed down so don’t even have them to keep me warm 🤣

  • Just catching up.

I was a late home bloomer at 44, it's worth the wait.

Apply for P1P, if you don't already receive it. CAB can help you with the application. Potentially extra money in your pocket and towards savings.

Also look up yoga for menopause, supposed to make a huge difference.

Fingers crossed for a stand-in offer.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
