Thank you I’m really trying hard to save this year.

Not a NSD Petrol put in the car yesterday and treated myself to some maltesers they are my favourite chocolate snack.

Today will be a NSD only posting now as had a late minute shift change. Got my interview on Monday so hopefully I’ll have some news about that soon. Sorted out my freezer today got so much food I need to use up so did my meal plan today for next week:

Monday sloppy joes with fries and salad got a kit from Tesco to make them. Fancied something new to try.
    Tuesday same as Monday
Wednesday green Thai curry with rice and green beans
Thursday Chicken laksa egg noodles and broccoli
    Friday same as Thursday
Saturday homemade pizza with chicken, pepperoni, ham, green peppers and jalapeños with salad
Sunday going round my friends for a roast, taking a bottle of wine with me that I have in the cupboard but not drinking as I have work straight after,

Still working on my cross stitch and jigsaw I find them both so relaxing. My MH is getting so much better than it’s been for ages so I am finally getting my housework done every day. It gets hard at times keeping up with the most basic things hopefully I’ll be well for a good while now as since I got the right medication I’ve been good. I think being ill hurt my MH for a while but had to cope for so many years with bipolar I can usually get myself out of a dip quite quick. It took me until I was 35 to finally get a diagnosis and find help it’s so hard, then I ended up trying over 10 different medications and combinations of medications to get to where I am now. But finally I feel good and going to keep myself that way. I find reading, crafts and jigsaws really help. I have 10 jigsaws I haven’t done mostly bought from the charity shop for £1 I usually buy them and when they are done give them back to the same charity shop to stop clutter.

Well that’s enough rambling off to bed to read for a bit and sleep.

  • NSD yesterday and today just been sorting out all the money left in my envelopes so will allocate it tonight to both my challenges. Also need to sort out my budget over the next few days as payday on Friday. Just done my online shop it’s just under £50 the rest will be split between my 4 food envelopes for the rest of my 4 weeks until next payday.

My food gets delivered a week on Monday I always get it for the last day of my 15% discount at work. My interview is finally near I have it at 2pm tomorrow so fingers crossed it goes well. Well best get to work and will update my savings later today

  • I have sorted out my money £10 in to my envelope challenge and £4.62 to my penny savings challenge totals are going up slowly but surely. I get paid Friday and my budget is all set ready to go. Just ordered some underwear and bras from M&S so £50 spent I really needed some new ones ordered to the shop as free delivery and I’m going to get a Costa on Tuesday with the gift card my daughter gave me for Christmas. I need to start getting out on my days off as I am such a home bird and like to just spend time at home. Going to donate the jigsaw to a charity shop now it’s done as I don’t need to keep it as I never do the same jigsaw twice. That’s me for now off to bed to read for a bit and sleep as so tired today.

  • I think the interview went well. I now have to wait until next week to see if I get it. There is 1 permanent position and maybe 3 more coming up in May so we will see if I get one of them. I’m hopeful but still keeping in the back of mind I might not get it at all.

Made a list of things I need to get done tomorrow going to be a busy day. Got to get my stuff from M&S and I’m really looking forward to get my Costa too and the fact I don’t need to pay for I takes it nicer.

Well off to bed and so glad my Friday is finally here.

  • Didn't get my stuff from M&S so off today to get them. Filled all my envelopes today for the next four weeks. Did quite a lot of my cross stitch yesterday and relaxed sometimes just need some relaxing time. I have started watching Judge John Deeds series again forgot how much I like the series. I bought some chai tea bags as coffee seem to be making my menopause symptoms worse. I have been watching what I eat and drink and what seems to set off my hot flushes. It's all new for me as I've just started to got through the menopause. Tried to get appointment with the doctor to see what help I can get but finding it difficult, I will try again tomorrow. Right off to read and sleep.

  • Payday is a day early so I have put away £120 into my penny savings and I’ll sort out the envelope challenge in a minute but £335 is going into that. Got a bit extra this month as I hit target and we get extra money on our hourly wage. I’m definitely on target for the year to achieve my goals. Right off to transfer money and then bed

  • NSD today, I can’t believe how much I am getting saved so far this will definitely be the year I turn things around. I am concentrating on getting the penny savings challenge completed then I can fully focus on the envelope challenge. I want to complete it 3 times this year and finally have some savings behind me.

Still no news on the job should find out by Sunday hopefully. If I don’t get the full time position there are stand in positions available so hopefully I’ll get one of those instead.

Well best get lunch and ready for work.

  • NSD yesterday and will be today too. I have 3 days off after today which will be nice. I have put my online food order on and will be delivered tomorrow. Meal plan for next week:

Monday - beef stew and dumplings with mash
Tuesday - fish pie and broccoli
    Wednesday - same as Tuesday
Thursday - bacon and Brie risotto and green beans
Friday - sloppy joes, wedges and salad
    Saturday - same as Friday
    Sunday - chicken roast dinner.

I spent less online this time as I didn’t need as much food. I’ll be glad when today at work is done it seems to have got busier than before Christmas for some reason. There are a lot of new people starting which makes it harder as they are much slower and still learning the job. Honestly I didn’t know how some of them cope it’s so hectic and at times daunting so I do feel for some of them trying to keep up. Well off for breakfast and to read for a bit.
