I see many of us suffer with "top shelf syndrome"

The two advent calendars purchased have arrived, one for Feral Kitten and one for WattyDog. Miss Feral Kitten has had one every year since I left PPH as a thing and WattyDog has had one each year he has been "mine". They both come to a call and sit and wait for their window to be opened. WattyDog wolfs his treat down in nano seconds and then tries to pinch Feral Kittens as she goes so slowly with hers but it is a lovely Christmas ritual that I enjoy so the £20+ spent on same was so worth it for the joy it will bring me
Also finally bought new stirrup leathers for Charming Cob saddle as since the saddle was adjusted the current ones are really too short but I've been "putting up with" so after a year I have splashed out!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

That's so sweet about the pet advent calendars!
You may find that dealing with the minor nuisance of the stirrup leathers being wrong was one of those little stresses that accumulate. Hopefully the new ones will enable you to enjoy your rides more comfortably.
I have too many minor nuisances so today I've decided to eliminate one - the accumulation of receipts by the computer. Thank you for prompting the thought!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Love the fact that WattyDog & Miss Feral Kitten sit waiting for their Advent calendar windows to be opened

I bought a doggy advent calendar one year and my fld (fussy little dog-not called this for no reason) sniffed it and walked away disgusted 🤣 he refused them and we ended up giving it to a neighbour. Didn't bother again lol.3

I love that they come and sit waiting patiently. Our cats would destroy anything containing food in one session - nothing can be left within reach!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

OMG @themadvix - it is his birthday anyday soon.......hilarious

Advent calendars do have to be kept out of reach, Miss Feral Kitten got hers one year and opened all the doors and the box was in tatters
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Architect for barn project no longer self employed or working on domestic projects, so need to find a new one to amend the plans. Will ask planning consultant.
Had a chat with estate agent today re potential in the future and he raised the overage problem. Said I won't be able to sell with it in place. Sat down, had a good cry. Ate some chocolate despite sugar free status. So it seems I am stuck, I can try for the permission and then if I get it argue the point with PPH about if he gets any money. The agreement is a legal mine field it seems. But even if I win that argument I still can't sell it with the permission in place because it is unmortgage-able.
Estate agent going to come up with some potential prices valid for this point in time but did ask if there was any chance I could get the overage lifted. I have been thinking of this all afternoon and have a call booked with a legal firm tomorrow to get their view. I should never have signed it but at the time....well... I did. Lets see what the lawyer says.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
