Watty, I love your descriptions of MH and CC's personalities. Pleased that MH had a blast doing the jumps today
Looking forward to hearing how you get on with him next time.

Also loving your descriptions, I feel I know them which is odd as for me horses are just big blobs in the fields roundabout (that become HUGE blobs when you get close and BL@@DY ENORMOUS blobs when I had a seat on one aftef some silly person at work decided trekking would be a great thing for us all to do one evening lol. Should have seen us all walking like John Wayne the next day and whimpering as we tried to sit down or stand up hahaha).

I really don't know much about horses so this will need to be read with an objective eye, but it does sound as though MH has lots of potential and perhaps with regular work and things to stretch him, you'll find out he has a lot to offer despite his challenging style! And he will stretch you as a rider, but I'm sure you can rise to the occasion.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Once again UK Power Networks have locked me off my own land and once again the VNM has wacked their padlock with a hammer to bash it off. He was so cross he rang them and told them they can't gain access until they send someone sensible and refuted any appointment being made at their convenience telling them they can call me and ask when suits me and that they can forget asking me to "wait in for them" because that won't be happening. (The idea is the chain is padlocked and our padlocks connect so either one of us can access the box).
I did laugh, he was so cross. I thought simply removing their padlock again was a solution.
I am going to ring them when I have the patience to ask them to remove their equipment as they are not paying rent - they are sending me cheques - but I dont easily have a way of banking a cheque so they are just pinned to the noticeboard. I asked for a direct into bank payment and they refused. I'm crosser about that than the padlock to be honest.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Conspiracy theorist here. Could they have found that many people can't be bothered paying in cheques any longer so that is why they insist on using them.

Post office can do cheques for sntdr, you just need an envelope (they credit your account then put the cheque into the envelope and post it away). Most po don't keep a stick of the envelopes. You can get them from bank. I have some that I can send you if you can't be bothered chasing a branch
