Rang the hospital to sort out the confusion over which hospital I am to go to on Saturday and was told definitely as per letter hospital A. Then the gynaecology team rung and asked if I wanted operation tomorrow at hospital A as it is much nearer where i live than hospital B where I am booked. Ah says I but I am already booked for A - no says she you are booked for B. I relay the letter and she says no the letter came from A but you go to B - no says I it came from B but says I go to A.

Confusion abounds.

I explained as much as I wanted to get it over I am not free tomorrow, it means cancelling to much work.

So we are left that I am going to B on Saturday regardless of letter and she will send me another letter which has now arrived (from A saying go to B). I will take both letters with me!

I actually said that if she gets a cancellation for Friday to call me and we can start over.

I'd rather not 😀in opera's the soprano usually dies - very slowly at the end and I'm all for happy endings these days 😀

Crazy situation - I hope you are managing not to tear your hair out over this. And how did today's course go?

Ah course …yes … got to laugh. No one had the notes and yet no one had emailed me to say that so I turned up ready and someone said she hadn't got the slides which led to at least 10 mins of utter confusion. My PA had simply forgotten to tick a box to put them live - I messaged her and she had sorted it out by the end of the session but naturally some people like the slides and they usually go live during the weekend prior.

Human error being what is there is no point being cross, PA is just human. At least it means people are engaged with the platform ☺️

Perfectly normal :) My mum called the hospital to check she could take her sedative for a procedure at midday, only to be told that it was a morning list. Lucky she checked, as admissions, when questioned said 'oh yes, we sent you the wrong time'. Mind you, everything is by text/phone as the letters don't arrive until after the appointment.

I think the omission with the slides was probably the sort of thing that happens once to an efficient person, and ever after, serves as a reminder to tick the right box. If so, it simply won't be an issue again - and what's more, you got it all sorted asap.
