I slept reasonably well, considering the evening sleep yesterday, and today is set to be quiet, but I can tell I'm already not getting down to the client work for Wednesday! I guess I could ask the new person if he'd mind running his eye over the figures and tell me why the results I have are so different from those on the software, though he's unlikely to have access to the software yet so he can only number-crunch on what I give him.
There are a few things other than that so here's a list:- text thanks to D and E
- Text my sister
- Pay Amelia
- Feed and water houseplants
- Laundry
- Clean fridge
- Make soup
- Go through client stuff for Wednesday
- Work in the evening.

I've completed the list apart from soup - I ran out of time. I did a detailed check of what's in the fridge and have packed some peppers and cheese into the freezer, which took longer than I'd expected but it's nice to have it all orderly.
I've done some work on the 'client stuff' and come to the conclusion my Maths simply isn't up to it. I texted the new colleague who I know is much better at the these things, and he's okay for me to send him the numbers part - now I'm trying to work out which are the right numbers! Glad of his support though.
I did find one piece of data that I'd noted down but not processed properly - which has given me a clue about what may be happening elsewhere. Urgh - it feels like a lot to wade through!
Never mind, it's June, it's been a sunny day, the washing is dry and most of it doesn't need to be ironed, the plants are generally watered and some are fed too, and I've used my day reasonably well so I just have to find the client's original notes and check I've transcribed those correctly, then send them off to my colleague. This last isn't straightforward as it's a really complex case. Hence I need help with it.
I had three hours of work today, and dinner was that old standby, salmon fishcake. Also some of the dhal before work to fortify me.
Tomorrow is our day looking after the children, and in the evening I'm having a meal with the people from my course.
Nothing spent today.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Client stuff as complete as it's going to be and sent off. Some bits seem to be making better sense but I'm as sure as I can be that it's not going to add up unless (and this does happen) it's simply a case of different people categorising things differently.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. Surprise, surprise - another tiring day after going to bed at silly o'clock last night. Then I heard from the client asking to postpone as they've double booked. That's probably for the good though as it gives us time to work through things as a team.
It's been another muzzy-headed morning - often is on a Tuesday - but I think a lot of that is just plain tiredness. This next paragraph is a marker for myself not a request for medical ideas. Last night I missed some of my medication because I remembered it ridiculously late. Tonight I've cut down on one medication and will be swapping back to the original statin. That's part B of the plan the GP came up with. It wasn't supposed to start till tomorrow after a two-week trial of a different pattern, but the different pattern hasn't cured anything: the tickly throat remained throughout, the dizziness went away then was back with a vengeance yesterday and the breathlessness also went for a week then has returned in clusters over the last few days. I'm wondering if this is affected by the change in statins so the next thing is to revert to the ones I used to have. The other theory is that it's post-viral, so we will have to see what, if anything, changes in this next couple of weeks.
We had the girls again during the day and in the afternoon J came over with baby A, which was lovely. We've made paper chain dolls and played car journeys and mummies and babies. My phone amused me when it sent me what it thinks was a journaling suggestion, illustrating 'My day at work' with a picture of a toddler (F) apparently giving a lecture. I've never had paid work remotely like that.
We called in at the supermarket on the way home (£13) and this evening I went to a meal with the cohort from my course, a sort of 'where are we up to now?' with leaders from the church and really nice food. Finished at going on for 10 and it was still light, a lovely tranquil evening with a view over the fields.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Sorry to hear you had a day of feeling tired! I often end up until horrid hours, because I suddenly get on a role and what to finish everything while I have momentum. Without fail I pay for it the next day (today is a case in point) & tbh I don't learn the lesson that bed-time needs to be set in stone!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! It's been a positive day today: not too tired to start with and although I felt rather dizzy a few times, it wasn't too strong. Too early, I think, to tell if swapping to the former statins is working better for me.
The Wednesday job this morning went well, though my client cancelled. My new colleague had had a look at the data I sent and has come to a more informed conclusion than I did but it confirms my feeling that the whole situation there is chaotic. He also got to sit in with two client sessions. I expect his head was reeling at the amount of things some people live with but he seems to want to stay. He lives nearby so offered me a lift home, which was very welcome as my laptop was heavy.
Lunch and supper have both been pasta with a luscious Genoese pesto that DS2 gave us a while ago. Too nice not to indulge twice.
This afternoon before work I finally planted up the remaining wall basket and a hanging basket. The hanging basket has trailing tomatoes underneath and busy lizzies on top and the wall basket is on the same theme as the other one: busy lizzies, sedum, lobelia and spider plants. They are going to need a lot of watering as heat is forecast.

I woke up at four or five with a streaming nose! Hay fever, so I've had a tablet and am feeling fine. This might also be because I slept till 9.30 after that: all the extra bits and pieces have clearly accumulated and tired me out.
Today DH has a day off and has already taken the car for its MOT (it passed! Though with several advisories, which is not unexpected as it's aging and owes us nothing). Now he's prepped the veg for lunch and gone to an appointment. Meanwhile I've done all of 10 minutes in the garden to reduce the ground elder. It's growing more slowly now but I'm learning from last year and not stopping here. In fact I've found a few flower heads and picked them as they're very pretty! No GE seeds, thank you.
I've also tried to mend a bucket - why buy a new one that has a small crack, if glue and tape might fix it? Still waiting for the glue to dry.
The bucket is to carry bath water to refill the rain water barrel, and I need to remember a new connector for when rain actually falls. I think the old one accidentally got thrown out by the builders. Yesterday I found that one bath fills approximately a third of the barrel. The slight leak in the barrel seems to be from the tap and stops eventually, but I'm leaving the watering can underneath in case I'm wrong about that and to protect the new paving.
It's hot and getting hotter. I love it when I have the doors open and am here in a comfortable temperature while the sounds of the garden come in.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Ha ha, I know the one you mean @rtandon27!
The mended bucket seems to be working.
I've done some garden work today: about half an hour on the ground elder, combined with picking out things that shouldn't be in the soil, like bits of plastic and a very tattered-looking 5p piece. It's getting tricky as there are lots of stone now. Other than that I've done some work for my course: I doubt I'll have everything ready as asked for tomorrow's session as there are two significant things I really haven't much clue about. This is a case of getting my thoughts down more than understanding the material, but I have too much to work through in time I don't really have. Today I've done the low-hanging fruit.
I've also done some admin stuff for the cleaning team as we need a rota for next month. In theory another person may be coming on board to take that role on: I'm only doing it because no one else seems to be placed to do it. Even then, they will need a certain amount of induction to understand how we've been doing it so far.
Work was three hours and I've not spent anything. DH will have paid for the MOT and probably some shopping too.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
