Spaghetti is often just a variety type (like pattypan or butternut) - there are some F1 spaghetti type squash (pinnacle and primavera come to mind) but there's lots of heritage seed around.

I got drenched at the plot today but did manage to finish netting my sweet peas, tie them in again and pop a 2l plastic bottle over the ridged cucumber that got munched to give it a bit of encouragement. My radish seedlings are loving the wet and cold and romping away but the carrots are being very slow to germinate at all.

Right to left in this photo are salad leaves, little gem, rocket at the back and sparkler at the front, red globe and then carrots. All sown at the same time using the same method and all had the same instructions on the back of the packets as well. I'm planning to eat the thinnings once they get to a worthwhile size which is why the rows are so close together.

I think I've killed my fig tree...

And the tomato I planted out has bee savaged by slugs. Still have a few more of the tomato plants on the windowsill in the bathroom, so I might pick up a grow-bag and pop them in the porch.

Mine isn't showing much of anything yet this year - I only know it's alive because I scraped the bark... maybe they're just really not liking the weather and will burst in to song any minute? (crosses fingers)

Just spotted some luscious red strawberries, to find they've been munched. So many slugs in my garden!!

It had loads of leaves and quite a few young fruits before I moved it the other week. Leaves and fruits have all dropped, so it isn't looking good..

Today avoided doing the weeding, instead made some radish fridge pickles, and have started making elderflower cordial.  Did prune 2 out of 3 grapevines - thought about stringing the tomatoes... still thinking about it.
