@leftatthetrafficlights Fingers crossed! I've definitely lost two or three that have snapped. I need to figure out where mine are going and get them out really as they are far too big for their pots now. Despite the amount I've sown
I don't actually have that many spots for them. The first year we were here I planted them in a planter on the kitchen wall which gets full sun almost constantly and they just died within weeks. The last time I did them, I put them under our bay tree (but again, in full sun) and they did a bit better but nothing overwhelming.
Classic case of sow before you think here XD I just love sweet peas too much to not do some!£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January3 -
I planted some more tomato and chilli seeds in larger pots a week or two ago, but still have nothing showing either in those or in the seed trays, or in the chives that I planted before that. Also planted some lettuce seeds outside in case they do anything this time. I do have some potato plants showing, some where I planted them and some where I didn't clear the ground properly.3

I have just had another two little seedlings pop their head up in one of my tomato pots. Sowed four seeds in each pot about 4 weeks ago, initially only one came but the other two have just popped up today. Having the same with my chilli plants and my lettuces (in the greenhouse). Some seeds this year seem to be taking a while! Don't give up hope! If I haven't seen anything at all I get rid of the pot after 4 - 5 weeks but some have surprised me.droopsnoot said:I planted some more tomato and chilli seeds in larger pots a week or two ago, but still have nothing showing either in those or in the seed trays, or in the chives that I planted before that. I was about to say the same thing! I planted some wild garlic in the garden of our previous house & within just a few years it was everywhere! We moved home 3 years ago & I'm still weeding out tiny plants of it from potted plants that moved with us. Luckily there is wild garlic within walking distance now so no need to risk growing it in the garden in future.Farway said:leftatthetrafficlights said:Seedlings all potted on and new bog garden made for the wild garlic I was given 😁Watch out for wild garlic, it can be a spreader, like mint.Nice to have but maybe not one to let loose

Four of the tomatoes appeared this morning, with possibly one more on the way, from no sign at all yesterday. I have my fingers crossed for the rest. The first ones have been in since February, so probably six weeks by now, but I'll leave them for a bit.kiss_me_now9 said:

I've got some old Roma seeds (bought some new ones) and only one has sprung up... I've noticed this morning it's created 3 leaves on the tiny seedling stalk and two of them are all mangled. New seeds started and old ones chucked XD£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January3 -

I've been potting on toms/chillies/peppers/aubergines for the village plant sale at beginning of May.
If I'm honest - I'll be quite pleased once these plants have been handed on...
