Couple of updates:
Car:- DH went to see our neighbour who is an mechanic and recently bought a kit to do AC, he ran the AC system, said there was a leak and that when it was filled last year it all leaked out! He sorted the leak and filled up the AC! Amazing! He declined payment, but we popped £30 to him as thanks as this saved us a lot of money. He is a very good neighbour!
- Weirdly, the noise has completely stopped! No idea why or what this means, but holding off on any more investigations until it starts again!
- Still wondering if it is best to look at getting a new car, especially as noise could come back, hmmm
Washing machine:
This is amazing, don't think we realised how bad the old washing machine was and for how long! This new one is a high rating for energy and clothes come out well spun, so dry quicker, everything smells nice and clothes look clean! We can also wash on 60 degrees without it erroring- bed sheets! It weighs the clothes and alters the time needed based on weight, genius! Love this, best £349 spent in a long time, it is also black and looks pretty sexy!haha
Account:
Vgn are going to be swallowed by n'wide, how annoying. I decided, stuff that, I will find a new bank and do it myself! I have applied and been accepted for 1stD, so hopefully as long as I jump through some hoops I will get £175 for switching, access to 7% saver and still be able to spend abroad fee free (that was the original appeal of Vgn). Switch should be done in June sometime and I have completed all the bits and pieces online. Nice to do, just uploaded passport and took a terrible selfie for security. If/when I get the £175 will send straight to my loan. There will be 3 DDs moved over so that is ticked, I will move all my money including savings from Vgn, so that will cover the £1k, I will buy 5 items separately once I get the card to appease that aspect and log on to the service within 30 days. Piece of cake!haha.

Weekly PAD round up:
CC: £11.97
Loan: £11.83
CC is now: £1554.38/£2162.22. This is 71.89/100 steps, we now owe £607.84. Based on being rid by December 2024, that would be £700 in standard monthly payments, and nothing a month in OPs. I was thinking about the standard payment going out today, but of course, it is a Saturday so no bills leave the account- so antiquated! By the standard payment, we would be £92.16 over in December 2024, another £7.84 will see December payment not needed and lead to November as the last month.
Loan OP since Oct 2023: £848.50/£977.70. £129.20 to find to knock out another month, might take a while but will get there!
So feeling better on the cold front, but struggling with an upset tummy, could be IBS or maybe a reaction to the injection this time? Weighed myself on the work scales, have lost 2kg this last week. Feel hungrier than I remember when I first started the injections, head hunger is still present, feeling it just needs time and maybe the higher dose next time. I like the work scales so goog'd them, £245!!!!!! Insane!!!!! Will just keep popping on them there. Got another two doses left before I need another one, having a good think about whether I try for another place that I have found that is cheaper again, but is it worth the effort?! I like As*a as it is well known, though Medxprss seems to have good reviews as well. Hmm.1 -
May Madness Round Up!
CC: £163.05
Loan: £171.31
Joint Savings: £350 (Was £349 more again, but that went on the washing machine)
Holiday: £200
Mortgage: £45
May has felt like a really positive month for payments, helped by a holiday budget reducing my own spendings, then coming back with a good budget as well! Fabulous!3 -
Looks like a good month on the savings front, and the overpayments are really making a difference, well done!2

Thanks @FacelessNumber!
Have been a spendy bee today!- £304 for car insurance, £80 less than renewal and will get cashback at some point
- £17.99 for breakdown cover, no cashback available and felt cheap enough
- Ordered new weightloss pen via new online pharmacy, got 20% discount and also 8.5% cashback for first order £131.44 so that is a big saving overall, will get 1.5% cashback in the future and it will be just over £150 for this dose
- We have also booked a two night three day Christmas getaway to Copenhagen, getting some cashback and got a great deal £380 for both of us, hotel and flights. Obviously we have dog costs and spends to consider, but this is all manageable. We will also need to add baggage to the flight- this feels really annoying, we don't even get cabin bags included, only a small bag!! Ah well, the cost is still less than £200 a person for flights and hotel, so can't complain! Oh, will also need to book night before in airport and car parking! Will spend some time exploring best options
- In positive money news, I have opened a 7% saver, £300 a month for 12months (have opened the FD account and hoping to get £175 for that once switch is done), we still have £4k in a 4% and we are saving £250 a month in a 5% for 12months- will be ready in Nov this year

Ah June, your weather is not seeming very Juney....
Weekly PAD round up:
CC: £41.56 (plus standard payment of £80)
Loan: £92.91
CC is now: £1675.94/£2162.22. This is 77.5/100 steps, we now owe £486.28. Based on being rid by December 2024, that would be £600 in standard monthly payments, and nothing a month in OPs. By the standard payment, we would be £113.72 over in December 2024 making us £13.72 into November, so no matter what, this credit card will be gone by November 2024! Amazing! Makes me want to just pay it off again, but that would be silly, wouldn't it?!
Loan OP since Oct 2023: £941.11/£977.70. £36.59 to find to knock out another month, decided to completely round down my savings account so a nice big OP. Not sure if there will be much PADding from this account, maybe just bare minimum of £1 a day, if that is the case it would be 5 weeks to get this month closed. Though on payday I will be able to send more so hopefully by the end of June I will have knocked off another month! Letter from loan company is now saying end date of 04/04/2028. Would love to see that drop into 2027!

Off to see Taylor Swift tonight, cannot wait!
Weekly PAD round up:
CC: £47
Loan: £37.14
CC is now: £1722.94/£2162.22. This is 79.6/100 steps, we now owe £439.28. No point at looking at December anymore, will base this on being rid by October 2024, that would be £400 in standard monthly payments, and £9.82 a month in OPs. By the standard payment, October would only need £39.28 to be gone. When I started this journey, I had no idea how much PADs would completely change the way I view debt and the amount of an impact they have! Incredible.
Loan OP since Oct 2023: £978.25/£977.70. I went back and added an extra pound today to get over the next goal, feeling very very happy to have knocked off another month. Wow! According to the online account (which is always a few weeks behind OPs and is slow to update) this loan will end 24/02/2028. So only two more months to knock off to get into 2027, that would be really nice! Next goal is to get the OPs up to £1140.65. £978.25/£1140.65 so £162.40 to find!

Well Taylor Swift was awesome, place was heaving and it was a fantastic experience! Off to see Pink on Tuesday next week, woohoo!
Weekly PAD round up:
CC: £9.59
Loan: £80.93
CC is now: £1732.53/£2162.22. This is 80.2/100 steps, we now owe £429.69. Aiming to be rid by October 2024, that would be £400 in standard monthly payments, and £7.42 a month in OPs. By the standard payment, October would only need £29.69 to be gone. This is very doable! Woohoo!
Loan OP since Oct 2023: £1059.18/£1140.65. Another £81.47 to find, had leftover monies at the end of my month so that helped boost these OPs and that feels nice! Doesn't matter if this next £80 will take a few months, just feels good to be making a consistent difference!

DH has a lot of self employed work coming in, looks likely that he will be away Mon- Sat for the next few months starting in July, going to be so weird! Income will be very good and a great boost, but is only for these three months and then it goes very quiet again. His usual part time job has been great, they have said he can use annual leave and unpaid leave over these months so that he doesn't lose the job and has something to come back to. This is reassuring!
Feeling inspired to try and get my garden under control, the border is huge and full of weeds, including bramble! Thinking of removing some sections as we have not got the time to manage. Going to try clearing sections, and planting some massive plants in hopes it will minimise the amount of weeds, its annoying as the grass grows in the border as well! I do wish we hadn't bothered putting it it!!
Bought two bell pepper plants, 12 celery plants- gave three away and two have died and a tomato plant, still have a mini kiwi, raspberry and strawberry plants which are looking very healthy. Fruit trees are looking good too. We have bought an adaptor for the strimmer which will allow us to cut hedges, £37, bargain! Hoping it will work as hedges are insane!1 -
Weekly PAD round up:
CC: £116.48
Loan: £22.89
CC is now: £1849.01/£2162.22. This is 85.5/100 steps, we now owe £313.21. This smashes the October plan which is nice, my new plan is to be rid by the end of August 2024. £200 in normal payments, leaving £113.21 to find, this is £56.50 over the two months. I am confident we can do this! Reason for the extra £100 this week was due to selling the Pink tickets as a couple of things came up so this was the option that made the most sense. Moved things along nicely.
Loan OP since Oct 2023: £1082.07/£1140.65. Slow and steady wins the race, haha. So need £58.58 to reach the next goal. Keep on trucking!
Been a funny old week, happy to have a day off. DH is back from working away, is at his other job today and tomorrow, so will see him for a few hours before he goes off again next week! Bestie came round last night and we had some rose and nice food, was great to catch up.
Think I will round June up in the next box, monthly round ups always look so good!1
