Nice shift yesterday morning, best one all week

Dinner and drinks out with friends yesterday cost £70 but all budgeted for and very much enjoyed.

Have felt a bit delicate today so £5.33 spent on some juice and crisps from the local shop and then £29 on a (planned) takeaway.  Plenty of leftovers for tomorrow's tea so will take some to work as I'm on a double shift.

Noticed that the payment for YNAB had come out so transferred the money out of the saving pot.  £18.23 left in that saving pot so have moved it to the LISA holding fund and will start saving for next year's YNAB subscription next month.

Now that sounds like a much better day! A nicer, less stressful shift then dinner and drinks with friends (which is always good) to nicely round the day off.
Hope you get more good days like that one  :)

Thanks Boodedoo and Sarah  the night was very much needed and enjoyed.

Work again was much better yesterday - the 2 situations causing stress seem to have resolved themselves.  It was a NSD as I just went to work and came home.

£6.50 cashback from ch@se account was added to the LISA holding fund taking it to £26.81 so £25 has been moved into the LISA

Oops haven't posted for a while again.  Work has been fairly full on and I've come down with yet another lurgy

I've been off the last few days as we had planned to go and visit OH's mum but we decided against it as didn't want to pass anything on with her health issues.  Managed to move the hotel booking to next month.

Yesterday I really didn't do much, mostly laid on the sofa feeling sorry for myself.  I did get a few surveys done though

Today has been more productive - I have defrosted the freezer, done a load of washing (out on the line but not sure how much it is actually going to dry) and made a curry for tea (now in the slow cooker).  I still need to go to the supermarket to get a few things but I'm going out to meet my friend for walk this afternoon so will go after that.

My dad was up last weekend so spent time with him and my gran.  Him and my mum have been having a clear out so he brought up some boxes full of stuff.  Need to go through them to see if there is anything we'd like to keep so that is a job for later.

Had a lovely walk with my friend yesterday, went for coffee and cake at the end so £6.80 spent.

Went shopping afterwards so £11.94 spent in hb and £12.01 spent in L*dl.  Have since realised that I forgot to get toilet rolls so definitely need to buy those in the next few days.

Curry for tea last night was lovely and enough for 2 more meals has gone into the freezer

Today has been a NSD - lazy morning in the flat followed by a late shift at work.

oh no, you do seem to be having a run of lurgies  :'(  Hope this one doesn't hang around. Take care of yourself.
Try not to make snap decisions about the 'stuff' your Dad brought.

We had gozillions of photos -  physical ones from a lifetime ago when you would get a film developed! I'd scanned many of the milestone ones for our family history files and got both daughters round. The instruction was go through them, take whatever you'd like to keep and I'll dump the rest. They took some but not many.
That was a good few years ago now and the other week youngest asked if I could look and find the photos from the early 1980s when the children in our street spent the summer putting together a 'dance show' held in one of the gardens. Ermm no, you said you didn't want them so they are gone!
But  MUM, I didn't know then that I would want them now! You should have told me.

:D 45 years old, married with two children and she still thinks Mum should be able to make everything right in her world  :D

I feel much better thanks Boodedoo.  Thankfully the boxes of stuff weren't anything personal that I will later regret not keeping, mostly kitchenware so we now have some new (to us) frying pans, a flask, 2 travel mugs and glasses.  There was a few other things that we probably won't use such as cake tins and sundae glasses, however, you never know so my plan is to keep the rest for 6 months and donate if we don't use them.

Today has been a day off work   it's been quite a spendy day as I got my eye brows done (£18) and bought a new dress (£20), some make-up (£29.90) and food shopping (£27.53).

I've got a work event next weekend but didn't have anything suitable to wear so very pleased to find a dress that didn't cost too much.  I've also needed new primer and foundation for a long time so thought I would treat myself.  I put aside money each month for treat purchases but don't tend to use much of it so all paid for out of that fund.

Pay slip are arrived today so need to start working on the budget for next month and £156.25 bonus was added to the LISA

  • Aw you deserve a treat!

I really need to start saving in my LISA next year - you're my inspiration!

I've got debt to pay off so hoping from April I can start adding about £330 a month to it.

I've only got until March 2033 to add to it before I lose the bonus so need to play catch up.

Thanks Dolly, good luck with your LISA savings.

Payday on Wednesday so put £400 into the LISA.

Work event yesterday so spent £86.10, had budgeted £150 for social stuff this month so well within budget.

Spent £5.34 on some food items yesterday, today have spent £6.42 on hangover supplies - juice, crisps and rolls and £29.23 on a planned takeaway.

Absolutely shattered so off for an early night.  I'm off work again tomorrow so planning to have a slightly more productive day.
