Gosh Yorkslass I am so sorry. I noticed you were missing for a few days and wondered. I hope everything goes ok. We lost my mother in law and father in law last year and there is lots to deal with. Much love.5

Just a quick message to thank you all for your condolences and kind words, they help so much - even if I do have a little weep when I'm reading them. DS is being very supportive and I'm trying to do the same for him.
The Powers That Be seem to move so slowly and so far we have accomplished very little, other than discussing funeral plans with the Funeral Director. The To Do list is long but we can't do anything until the death has been registered and I have no idea yet when that will happen.
One piece of good news - this morning the equipment that was on loan (bed, commode etc) has been collected so my living room is a living room again.
Once again, thank you all for your kindness at this difficult time.Be kind to others and to yourself too.17 -
Thank you so much for keeping us up to date @YorksLass, at a time when everything is hard and there's little you can do.
I don't know if you've read redo's thread: she had a very sudden bereavement not long ago but she's talking us through the things she has to sort out, in the hope it may help someone as there is just so much to consider. Of course, it may not be what works for you right now, I jus thought I'd put it here in case.
It's good the loaned equipment has gone back so you can have your living room back and make a little start on the journey to remembering your DH in better times.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

@YorksLass I wouldn’t worry that the ‘sadmin’ isn’t progressing very quickly. The funeral will probably take a lot of energy and other things can wait. So long as pensions are being sorted out, most things can be dealt with when you’re contacted.Fashion on the Ration

Just a quick up date on the MMM-ing:
Make do: Found a few blackberries while clearing old brambles. Not millions but enough for a small treat.
Mend: glued the base of an under-bed drawer back in place so it's a lot sturdier. Now to work out how to get it back under as it needs to fit on warped tracks.
Minimise: finished a knitted toy and gave it to its new owner.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
