My condolences, YorksLass.

What we found helpful when my Father died last year, is to take pictures during this time, and make them into a little album after the funeral. Everything moves so fast, that it is very soothing to look at this album afterwards. It's small, just about 20 pictures.

We’ve also just passed the first anniversary, we didn’t take pictures but I’ve reread passages from my diary and a family message chain which helped. There are some items on my desk and bedside table that I got around that time, that I associate too. It never occurred to me that mementoes could help.
