@Laura_Elsewhere - the dye was the Dylon machine pod in Navy. I used one pod for the blanket.

@Liverpool_Anne The colour combinations for your scarf and blanket are so effective. That is interesting that you grouped your colours. What else did you consider when deciding what colour to choose next?

Hi all
@Gem-gem to be honest for the scarf I just put the neutrals in 1 bag and the colours in another bag and pulled them out randomly, only when all of one type was used did they all go back in their bag to start again. Apart from the cast on, first row, last row and cast off which I had decided would be dark grey as this was what I had the most of, though it wouldn't have really mattered as I still have loads of most of the colours left. For the blanket I did a sort of random grab but I hadn't sorted it at all other than in amounts of yarn. I planned this as a use up project and I was doing it while staying at my sister's house dog minding while they were on holiday and stupidly I hadn't taken enough yarn so I hit the local cs. The first one didn't have much, and it was 4 ply but I got it anyway but the 2nd shop had a whole display of yarn so I just got 1 ball of about 9 colours that I liked and mixed them with what I had taken with me. The 4 ply was used with another 4 ply so you might be able to see a blue and green used together and a pink and redish pink used together etc. I did consider each colour as it came out of the bag and held it against the previous one considering the tones of the colours. If I thought it was too much of a clash I used a neutral colour to separate them. I think this is where the idea for the neutral and colours came from. I have seen some lovely blankets on attic 24 where she bases her colours on different landscapes such as moorland or the beach and at some point in the future, when I am not just using upI would like to do something like that, a sort of picture on a blanket but in a sort of impressionist way rather than a depiction of something iyswim
. I think I am a frustrated artist as I can only draw in a scientific way, not an artistic way
. I can do a beautiful cross section of a flower but not a vase of flowers

My 1st lot of coupons to declare, they finely got my size bra in again, so I grabbed 2, so if I've worked it out right, I think I've used 3 coupons.
Loving the knitting ladies, I finished my freestyle jumper, but it's a bit short but it is the 1st time so a learning curve, I have got plenty of wool left so I will take what I've learnt and I'm going to do a tank top/vest next, making sure to add a lot more length.£71.93/ £180.008 -

I have finally finished most of my working-away... one more two-day trip in late April and potentially one or two in the autumn, but otherwise, nothing definite until next spring.
That means I now have several months which I can really take advantage of, without external pulls on my time and mind... so I hope to properly tackle the rest of the sitting-room, and sort out my bloomin' clothes. Properly, this time.
Also, I am now a pound heavier than my previous heaviest-known weight, and nothing fits comfortably and so I shall be walking everywhere and also trying hard to eat more homemade foods, and especially to avoid those wretched ultra-processed foods- it feels like we've lived on supermarket Meal Deals for weeks and weeks, as we have had numerous outings as well as my working away, and with the preparatory work I didn't have time to cook or bake much. Lots of bought sliced bread at home, lots of bought biscuits and treats to keep me going...!
So a few days for the dust to settle, but then from Monday, I shall be back to proper meal-planning, home-cooking, baking and so on. And lots of brisk walks...!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:
