And we're off!Welcome to January 2024. If you're not working today, set some time aside to prep the month: what's happening when, who's going where, which bills are due, is the budget realistic.Well done ThriftyT for getting in with pinch punch, but since you didn't say no returns...Pinch, punch, first of the month! No returns!!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!12

HAPPY NEW YEAR.
DH didn't sleep well last night because he's too excited as we are off out for the day on our own doing something that he is very passionate about. We don't get chance very often as we are usually busy at the plot at weekend or seeing family. I'm taking my book as it's not really my thing and plenty of leftover Christmas snacks. I'm allocating us both £20 a month personal spends, hopefully will curb random spending.
Love 🐞

Can I please join you? I'm rubbish at posting as I don't like typing on my phone but I'll try.
Another stressful situation to start the year 😞

Happy New Year , everyone. May it be healthy and peaceful for you.
NSD No 1. Certainly helps that the shops are closed and I haven't been out of doors.
Banking all done and money where it should be, Even got into Himself's online banking first time. That's practically unheard of, Must be a good omen.
I was very brave this morning and stood on the bathroom scales. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!!! I have put on so much weight since last January. I know that some of it was outwith my control. Medication, the inability to exercise, extreme fatigue but nevertheless. So for the first time (I think) in my adult life I have celebrated New Year's Day without an alcoholic drink, crisps, chocolate, left over cake, etc and I've managed to avoid the calorie ridden traditional Scottish steak pie dinner. A serious effort is needed otherwise I'll have no clothes that actually fit me. Fingers crossed.
I was doing quite well with decluttering, etc till December. Must get back into that again Started off today putting all the cardboard and paper into the recycling bin and I have used up all the parsnips (Himself went a bit mad since they cheap) by making spicy soup. We are awash with food. Nothing but milk being bought until it is used up.
New notebook and pen at the ready. Off to prepare tomorrow's to do list.
Have a lovely evening. xxxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10
