yep, i got back from a weeks cycling around Girona (too hot still, september and 35C!). I cant say the week off was not possible had i been at work but i know it would have been tempered with the knowledge that id have a bursting inbox on my return and weeks to get my projects back on track. As it was i only had to retrieve my wheely bin as id forgotton to ask my neighbour to but it back inside the front gate.

The weather for my trip was excellent. We did get rain but mostly when on the ship from Finland to Åland and Åland to Stockholm. On our walking days it was just right and I wore a t shirt for some of it.

We've just complete month 1 meandering down the western half of France, and have started month 2, meandering back up the western half of France.
The only downside is not seeing our young 'un for so long.

Done it, informed the boss my last day would be 30 Oct. Feeling a bit OMW at the moment.

best I can do is a 30 month countdown calendar where I can cross off each month as it finishes. really its a 24+6 countdown as after 24 months I’ll know the numbers work and may start the conversation if the company wants a controlled handover (or they can pay me gardening leave)

Congrats, I know it can feel a little daunting stepping away, but this is very exciting

Exactly the same timeline for myself, though I tell myself it's only two years as I'll be looking into arranging two of my DB schemes then. Three month notice period but would prefer redundancy instead of a 'gold watch.'

yep three month notice contractually but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone serve more than a month so I have my fingers crossed on that. Unless they don’t pay you the 3 months, then I’ll stay to get my final pennies :)

2 days left.
Booked and paid for tickets for an event in NZ next year, now just need to build an itinerary around it. Winter planning time.
Got lots of biking to do, still got good weather now and looking forward to next spring.
