Bank transfer before for car?

Hi,

I have arranged car insurance and sent them evidence of it. I wouldn’t drive any car anywhere without insurance even if the car was worth £200. I’ve just looked on the DVLA and the car isn’t on there yet. I’m assuming everything will be done on the day at handover now.

It will be done on the day - mine didn’t appear on askMID or DVLA until at least 24 to 48 hours later so don’t sweat it.  You will have all the paperwork if the police stop you for driving an unregistered unlicensed uninsured vehicle… which they won’t because police only exist in the movies around here… 😄

The last 3 cars I have picked up the dealer has never asked for insurance proof and they were all taxed ready to go when I picked them up.

however you will have  the certificate  either printed off  or  as a PDF   downloaded to your phone or  tablet  from the email   sent by the insurer when the payment went through ? trying to remember  when i last had to wait for a printed  certificate to be sent  out  or  had to get a  covernote from the broker/ insurers  front counter
