Good Morning MFW'rs
Slow start with us this morning, due in part to having a very poor night's sleep. The sleep that I did have seems to have been punctuated by a very strange dream, taking place somewhere I've never been, involving people who I either didn't know, or haven't seen/had anything to do with for the best part of 30 years. But it did involve being frustrated (I was pulling down reams and reams of - weird - decorations in the dream, unsure as to why there was so many, why they had been put up, and for what purpose..... 🤔). There sure are frustrations in my life at the minute, but as they are not connected with finance or mortgages, I shall move on.
Anyway, I was expecting rain today, so didn't shift-a-tail-feather and get the workwear on to wash. When it gradually dawned on me that it wasn't actually raining, and there was a jolly good drying breeze occurring, I put the workwear wash on....... 😔 I have just pegged it out, and it stands a good chance of getting partially dry. I've dropped the ball though today - I could have had a lot of stuff out earlier - but the last forecast I checked gave heavy rain for us today 🙄 But anything that can get a bit drier outside will need less time in front of the dehu, so I may yet help the coffers, a little.
I have returned the beetee equipment. Isn't it disconcerting when the parcel receiving staff implore you to take a picture of your proof of postage "the moment you get home", because the parcels are notorious for not being acknowledged as received, and you're hounded for payment - for equipment that you were supposed to be returning for recycling anyway........
I have also received an email from said telecommuncations company, detailing my 'last bill'. You many recall that they were hysterically emailing me recently, to 'pay your bill' as I had (surprise, surprise), cancelled my DD. Naturally, I had to pay for a full month, and have now been informed that I'm getting approximately half of it back - by cheque - as I've closed my account........ The second email from them detailed how my Broadband Prices were going to be going up in March.... Oh no they won't, I no longer have an account with you.... 🙄
Pizza and wedges were fine last night. There were 2 pieces of pizza left over for another day. Pud was yoghurt and a cake from a box that DH had been given to de-clutter from work. I think it was someone's birthday or something, and there weren't to be foodstuffs left out over the weekend or something.
DH has gone out with LG for a pootle about to return the spare parts he bought last week and receive a refund. He has at least got the smoke alarms out of the packet and we've agreed locations, but they're not yet affixed.
I think I will use the SC to make (finally!) the qu0rn bake today. At the risk of seeming ungracious, I'm just not feeling anything today. I'm just feeling tired, frustrated and grumpy. Don't mind me, this too shall pass.

Tired/furstrated/gumpy? - I usually take myself to the sofa with a warm blanket, a cuppa something, an audiobook and a timewasting game or a bottle of nail varnish. - Have a bit of me-time GP - your always give so much to your family that it may be time to do something for yourself!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)Original End Date - Sept 2041 New projection - Sep 2038 (reduced by 3 years)7

I’m with Cheery and RT, I think you need a bit of GP specific fun and distraction. January is a tough month for all of us and the washing wrestling is always a frustration to some degree.I get your self annoyance about not getting a wash in early enough - if I’d got myself organised I could have caught a breeze for my bedding wash yesterday when I got home from work, but I didn’t, so I didn’t … 🤷♀️😉 Maybe next Friday …? 🤔
Hope you feel brighter soon, also sending a hug x

Thanks all. It's not the washing missing a good blow that is at the core of my frustration. I wish that it was, I would give my head a wobble, a kick up the bahookie, and order myself to 'get a grip'.
Unfortunately, I am not the 'guilty party' and it's the actions/inactions and incessant b***sh*t PR of other people and organisations, with a side serving of life "stuff" - which comes to most of us at some point in time, that is causing frustration. Although I seem to attract 'stacking' of issues, and this is the second time stuffs all come at once..... Never mind, it will pass. Life for the living moves on.
I just feel too tired to do anything meaningful. Although wrapping up in a blankie on the sofa definitely seems attractive. But I'm better off keeping one eye on the clouds, and one hand on the SC.

Yesterday's washing (my clothes) put away.
Washing put in front of dehu for 2hrs, as rain started mid-afternoon. I'm grateful for a) the few hours it did have outside, and b) that I noticed the spots of rain, right at the very start, so the clothes weren't any damper coming in. The blowiness will definitely save some electric pennies.
The tea is in the SC. I am a prize turnip tho, as I was convinced I had a bag of qu0rn pieces..... nope, nada, not a sausage (well.... I have some of those 🤭). So I had to do a pivot and use some qu0rn filets, and chunk them into the SC. It'll work just as well, I'm annoyed with myself is all. I shall put some edamame beans in later in the cooking time, and shred/steam some brussels sprouts, and either boil some rice or get a punnet out of the freezer.
All minor MSE activities in the grand scheme of things, but all I have currently.

Can I join you on the 🙄 at cooking stuff-ups bench?
Made mushroom soup today. Y’know, a really simple soup, where you just fry off the onions and
garlic, add the flour, fry that a bit add the mushrooms and stock and then simmer for 15 minutes.
Only stoopid here COMPLETELY forgot the flour! Only remembered as I was driving back from the garden centres and hour or so later. Decided not to worry about it as it’s only me eating it (I did debate faffing about with cornflour, but then couldn’t be bothered 😉😊) so blitzed and froze it 🤷♀️Sending you a 😊 and a 🌞 Perhaps the latter will appear for a bit tomorrow 😊

Well I am now thinking I am so glad it is not just me that is having one of those days6

Yup, we can have a 'one of those days' together 😁 Whilst simultaneously having a larf, at the 'what cats really think' convos over on KajiKita's thread 😁badmemory said:Well I am now thinking I am so glad it is not just me that is having one of those days
2 new smoke alarms secured in the new locations. That's us done now I think - and here's hoping we never need them.
Tea is made; qu0rn SC bake, steamed sprouts and boiled rice. I'll dish up just now. I think it tastes OK.
