I rather think the alignment between 'offer prices' in schemes such as n3ctar et al, are related to moon, wind and tide shifts. Kind of predictable but not wholly ....

also googled the hudson bay blanket : every day is a school day
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!4 -
I must admit, I do prefer the....... adapted colours of the HB blanket, perhaps a tadge more than the original verision. But it's still a key user of british wool 👍 At the risk of sending anyone down any rabbit burrows that they didn't need to be in, the National Parks blankets are beautiful.......Grand Canyon 🥰 I believe a UK company has started making versions for our national parks too.......

I think I used the wrong phrase - and it is possibly just a quirk of one of the sellers of HBB's that other colours of blankies, "in the stylee of" are available. Sends apologies and a good coffee to rt via the ether.rtandon27 said:Adapted colours!?! - that's akin to the 🇨🇦 flag being green instead of red! - I may have to lie down for a bit and get over the shock! 😲 😆

So, I had to get a print off of a posting label to be able to send our beetee equipment back 🙄 So I went to the little library on the 'fArmf00ds' side of town. I got the printing done, the staff are lovely in that library, they receive alot of personal abuse from service users, and it can't be nice to turn up to that everyday. Heaven knows how they keep on turning up to work - but the 2 librarians on today are usually the ones on duty. They are always so kind and so helpful.
I then pootled over to MrL. I'll admit, it was to have a glance if there were any boxes - none (it's no bother to reach from the library), I picked up a YS'd kit that I thought LG would like. I had got them '3 for 2' of these kits before Christmas from h0bbiKraft, and 1 was given as a present, and the other 2 stored away for HT or Easter or whatever. I did check if I could return it, if LG already had it, and the lovely person on the till said yes, keep your receipt (and then made sure they gave me the receipt without asking 👍), needless to say, although it appears to be a different colour, it is the same kit as I already had bought 🫤 Had I known I was going to drop on such a deal today, I would have selected a different 3 kits back in December. Ah well, them's the breaks. I've hidden it away, as if LG sees it, they will want it regardless. I did forget to get a TV mag from MrL. The people in front of me, who took a whole 10 minutes to go through the tills 🙄had one on top of their shopping, and I should have wandered off and got one myself, as they would still have been packing when I wandered back..... It was heaving in there today - which isn't hard, it's only a teeny store.
Then I wanted to go to bee&Em, as I wanted to get a couple more of the smoke alarms - like DH replaced the other week - to put in new spots. The company is allegedly struggling in the current economic climate, and it'd be just like me to forget and then want to get the smoke alarms when the company has disappeared off the retail map. Analysts or company bosses are blaming h3r0n f00ds for bringing the group down. h3r0n was a good shop until it was taken over! The prices went up, and the stores emptied. The one in Greying Town used to be rammed, and they did a roaring trade - it's now closed ☹️ Anyway, I got the smoke alarms - one will go in the garage, and one in the living room - I think we're good then. That was £8 non-food spent. As it's on the same retail park, I walked over to FF - yes, I was there yesterday, but I remembered I hadn't got sugar (as luck would have it, they are doing 2 for £1.60 at the mo, which I "think" is the cheapest - well, that I can easily access, anyway). In addition I got a (not recognised) brand of 100% nuts peanut butter for 99p and some frozen veg. I got some edamame to try - I've eaten them before, but I don't think as shelled beans - I've had steamed/salted in pod beans at a Japanese restaurant (where our host insisted on us trying different types of sake to see the difference in taste 😵💫). I bought some of their baby frozen carrots, as I saw the recipe for Afghan Carrot Hotpot in my recipe index the other day, and I'm minded to make it one night this week. I also got some frozen garlic. Total spend in FF was £5.56, added to £5.87 in MrL (which is less the kit spend, as I'll be returning it for a refund). I did also buy a bag of brussels sprouts in MrL - my fam will be thrilled...... 😉 I did look for eggs, but that branch doesn't stock the same eggs as the MrL in the market town across the way, so I'll hang fire. I still have some eggs, so probably don't need to buy anymore, anyway.
I've put the dehu on for its second 2hr stint. A good amount of water was poured away, and the clothes are drying OK, considering the airer is full.
I'm going to have the remaining casserole for lunch and then I shall set to and make the pizza dough.
I can't think of anything else MSE at the mo, so thanks for popping by.

The cheapest I've seen sugar for months is 89p, the next is £1.09. So 2 for £1.60 is good.As for electricity, I haven't changed the way I use it & I have already used nearly as much this January as I did in December & last Jan & Dec. Nearly as much means tomorrow I am going to hit it. Fortunately I have managed to use more at night rates so hopefully will be a little cheaper. After nearly ten years of ownership I have even used the breadmaker overnight.5

You're spot on badmemory - 89p at hB, and (unknown to me) 89p at FF, but FF had the 2 for £1.60 offer, so they win on price per unit 👍I had looked in bee&Em, but couldn't find any sugar, apart from caster/icing, which was the same brand, but not what I required.badmemory said:The cheapest I've seen sugar for months is 89p, the next is £1.09.
