Your lasagne looks delicious. I had toasted rye bread with curried chickpeas and a poached egg for dinner. I haven't been to Aysgarth Falls yet, its on my list of places to explore.
Has a great morning sewing which I haven't done in ages. Borrowed a machine as mine is still in storage whilst we are waiting for our house purchase to go through
Followed that with a leisure centre swim, half a mile swum, and then went out for a coffee with DD
It's been a good day6 -
@Florafauna, it sounds like a perfect day! 😁 I'm glad you're able to do some sewing again, it's good to keep that creative side of you going while things are still not totally settled - are you making anymore fancy scarves this year?
I've been doing very little over the past couple of days, I had a lovely time with my grandbaby, he's settling in well in his new class and seems to be happy there which is a relief! Yesterday I cooked a casserole with dumplings as the weather felt very autumnal and dh had been hinting 😉
We're out tonight for a birthday celebration then tomorrow I'll be sorting my freezers as my new one has arrived! 🙌 I've got a lot of house sorting to do next week so I'll be making a menu plan which uses up as much UFO's as possible so that I don't needto spendmuch time cooking - I'm determined to have more organisation in the freezers once they're sorted so using the unidentified stuff will definitely help 😉
Anyway, got to get ready to go out- have a lovely slow Thursday! 🐌😁DNF: £708.92/£1000

A late post from me . Lovely day out today at a coastal village, walking , coffee from a flask and kit kats sitting by the harbour. Brought a picnic but hadn't noticed that the bread was mouldy!😖
So we ended up having a pub lunch which was very nice if an unexpected spend.
Weather here has changed and though sunny today, there was a sharp wind. Wearing socks and jumpers again.
All my knitting stuff is in storage so no fancy scarves on the go at the moment4 -
Leftatthetrafficlights - what people do you follow on YouTube? I am always looking for new content to watch. I follow a few Vanlifers as I find them interesting, even though I don't own a car or even know how to drive!
I have been having a lot of very slow days lately. I feel much better now my husband has retired and we finally are able to settle into a routine. He used to work different shifts each week which really disrupted my sleep over the 31 years we have been together.
I haven't had much planned at all so I have just been getting up when feels natural to me and reading a lot, going for walks by the beach while listening to podcasts, cooking at home and then watching TV shows on our new projector at night. It probably sounds boring, but it is nice for me after having a couple of very busy summer months. It does feel nice and cosy in the evenings and I have done some winter prep already.
We bought a second hand cabinet yesterday from a local store to put some of the overspill from our very small kitchen so that will be delivered tomorrow. I am just doing a hair treatment at the moment and then will start my new library book after my shower and breakfast.
I did want to look for a winter coat (or two) in the charity shops, but I might do that tomorrow morning. Hmm, I might go out today actually to make the most of the weather as it is nice and sunny again here.

@Florafauna, shame about the picnic but impromptu meals out always taste better in my opinion! 😉
@Wednesday2000 - I follow hippy highland living (love the scenery and her dog!); sustainably vegan (sounds random but I like her voice plus there's occasionally interesting content on there); boho beautiful meditation (love her guided meditations, not keen on his); kristyn rose yoga (really relaxing voice and lovely yoga nidra practices); growveg (love his enthusiasm!); charlesdowding (amazing growing knowledge); gazoakley (beautiful scenery, nice food and interesting content); huw richards (interesting garden stuff); clutterbug (no real reason other than she makes me laugh!); simnett nutrition (lovely food, nice presentation and frequently beautiful scenery); nutritionfacts.org (an absolute wealth of peer reviewed nutrition information, massively interesting). I also follow spicy moustache but he seems to only be posting shorts these days and I've just subscribed to derek sarno but haven't watched much of his stuff so haven't formed an opinion yet 😉 You're description of your days sounds lovely, not in the least bit boring!! I'm really pleased that your dh's retirement is working out well for you both 😁
My day hasn't gone according to plan but it's been lovely ☺️ my ds turned up this morning with my grandpuppy and I've done very little other than write and listen to music. The weekend will hopefully be peaceful, we have the family meal on Sunday but no other plans. We've got leftovers for dinner and a quiet night ahead - absolutely perfect!! 😁DNF: £708.92/£1000

Hello Wednesday and Leftie, we have reexpanded to a group of three 😀.
@Wednesday2000, your days sound lovely. I'm doing a lot of reading, swimming, hanging out and sewing. It's bliss after a very stressful job. Great to have no more stress dreams.
@leftatthetrafficlights. I'm intrigued by your YouTube list. I can get a bit obsessive so I feel it's best I don't start watching things though i am hugely intrigued by the sound of Spicy Moustache.
Been a quiet day here, some food prepping for tomorrow. Off to aquafit later. Smashed avo, galloumj and poached egg for dinner when I get back4 -
Oh, I watch a few on that list, Gaz and also Derek from Simnett. I just started watching Derek Sarno the other month, his dog is so cute in the videos! I will have to look at your other favs.

weird day chatting with my mom (!!!.) who was explaining to me (repeatedly) that that picture over there that she had painted (she did) had fallen off the wall (did it? when?) and some of the zinnias in that jug in it had fallen out and she's not sure it's as nice a picture as before. She still likes it though....

Good morning, I hope you are all well ?
I have recently downloaded this app again and I know it’s like mid September but I was wondering if possible I could join you all ?
Back in February this year I had a massive mental breakdown and had to stop working because of that, also I have fibromyalgia and the pain and fatigue is awful so I’ve already started on the slow lane of life.
Not working now has obviously reduced my budget so I don’t have the money to buy unnecessary things and the breakdown has left me with acute anxiety so I hardly ever leave our house unless it’s for what I call “important appointments “ that can’t be done over the telephone.
I don’t drink anymore due medication and being diagnosed with T2?” diabetes, I’m on so I’m not going out out 🙈 which really doesn’t bother me .
The breakdown has made me really take stock of my life and made me into a totally different person tbh the person who I was before was very unappreciative and if I’m being honest took everything for granted now I take stock on all the little things in life, appreciate everything that I do actually have and look for the positive side of life and not the negative things that I did back then.
I've recently started yoga and I’m practicing meditation, journaling and I’m also doing journaling which helps me. I also walk our dog 3 x so I’m outside so that helps me.My food shopping is something that I need to get in order and reduce my shopping bill .
Im slowly turning our house into a home but it’s taking slowly do to my limited budget so I’m using the paint that we already are.Trying to change my life and will:money:7 -
