@Floss - that must be awful 😔 I'm glad that it's more manageable now but it must feel incredibly draining 😢 I really hope that it improves for you 🤞
Ive got my grandbaby coming today for the weekend so I am going to have a coffee in the garden then do a quick clean, my asana practice and a 15 minute meditation before I nip out to pick up my prescription and take the books I've read recently back to the charity shop.
I've already cooked the main part of tonight's dinner - I made a 'bolognese' with onions, mushrooms, courgette, cauliflower, beetroot and walnuts - so just need to cook the pasta and sling together a salad. I tend to have pasta when my grandbaby is here as he likes us all eating the same thing but is not an adventurous eater! 🙄😂 Having it all sorted means that we can spend this afternoon playing 😍 I haven't seen him for 10 days and I'm really missing him so it's going to be a fab weekend!! 🥳
Last night's dinner was mixed grains (oats, barley, rye, short grain brown rice); cannellini beans cooked in stock and herbs; the remains of the courgette, lemon oil and tarragon salad; the remaining papaya; sautéed broccoli leaves and a dijon mustard cashew cream sauce - absolutely lush! 😋
Have a fab slow day!! 😁

Hello. I known its been a while but I've been very busy finishing work and moving hundreds of miles north. It's not been slow but we are now hoping that life will settle. We are moving into a rental next week while we wait for the conveyancing to be done for our new house.
I've joined the local leisure centre and will be sea swimming this weekend7 -

@Florafauna - lovely to 'see' you again 😁 I've been wondering how you've been getting on! I hope the house is sorted soon - you must be missing your lido but I'm glad you've joined the leisure centre so you can at least keep up with your swimming 😁
Had a lovely afternoon/evening yesterday playing - we did painting, built a track, sowed some micro-greens and played with a variety of toys. This morning we've done colouring, den making and playing with trains - we're going out soon to feed ducks and go to the toy shop so we may have lunch out too 🤔 If it's nice weather still when we get home we'll be playing in the sandpit.
I've harvested some veg this morning and we still have potatoes to harvest so I'm going to cook some chickpeas and I'll make a curry with it all tonight 😋
I'll do my asana and meditation practice tonight once I've put my grandbaby to bed - I'll need the rest by then!! 🤣
Have a lovely slow weekend 😁

The weekend finished well and we had a lovely time with our grandbaby 😍 we spent yesterday afternoon when he went home in the garden and I made some pasta sauce for the freezer from our hg courgettes, basil, garlic and onions along with shop bought tomatoes - delicious!! 😋
Today I have cleaned the house, cleaned me, done an asana practice and a meditation and spent some time in the garden relaxing and listening to the birds - it's been absolutely lovely 😁
Tonight we are having a variety of leftovers for dinner so no cooking required thankfully, it's a bit too hot to be making food!
Planning on a very quiet day tomorrow; I'm going to go out for a walk first thing before it heats up, do my daily cleaning, my asana and meditation then I'm going to tidy up my tomatoes and cucumbers in the greenhouse, harvest and cut down my broad beans and do a bit of weeding in the veg beds. I'm looking forward to it! 😁

Hello folks, I'm in the North East and happily only 20 mins from the coast so have been enjoying some sea swimming. I think the unheated lido swimming has toughened me up as the North sea doesn't feel too cold.
Picking up keys for our rental tomorrow after a pilates class. Unpacking a few things stashed in the car but everything else is arriving next week. Then another swim maybe.4 -
@Florafauna - hope everything goes well with the rental, enjoy your Pilates class!! 😁
I've got my grandbaby from lunchtime today for a sleepover and tomorrow I'm going into the city with him and my dd so a busy but lovely couple of days ahead.
I'm starting my August digital detox tomorrow so I'll be back at the beginning of September - I hope you all have a lovely slow month! 😁DNF: £708.92/£1000

I am a bit late to wish you well for your digital detox but look forward to hearing how it goes when you return @leftatthetrafficlights
Florafauna - I hope that all goes well with the remainder of your house purchase. You are in another beautiful part of the country albeit with different swimming opportunities. I find Pilates quite strenuous and it certainly wakes up the muscles! Not doing much with this heat, however, I am doing some lovely relaxing in the garden in the shade where I can catch a breeze. The birds are carrying on with business as usual and seem to be doing plenty of foraging in the shrubs and trees. I am enjoying surreptitiously watching them coming down for water quite close to me; a human with a book not apparently being perceived as a threat. I don’t stay in the same spot so they can also access the water without me around. It’s nearly time for a cup of tea again and possibly I might start another new to me book, as I have just finished one.Happy slow summer days to all.4
