Hello. I known its been a while but I've been very busy finishing work and moving hundreds of miles north. It's not been slow but we are now hoping that life will settle. We are moving into a rental next week while we wait for the conveyancing to be done for our new house.
I've joined the local leisure centre and will be sea swimming this weekend.

Gosh. This sounds lovely. Best wishes to you.

  • @Florafauna - lovely to 'see' you again 😁 I've been wondering how you've been getting on! I hope the house is sorted soon - you must be missing your lido but I'm glad you've joined the leisure centre so you can at least keep up with your swimming 😁

Had a lovely afternoon/evening yesterday playing - we did painting, built a track, sowed some micro-greens and played with a variety of toys. This morning we've done colouring, den making and playing with trains - we're going out soon to feed ducks and go to the toy shop so we may have lunch out too 🤔 If it's nice weather still when we get home we'll be playing in the sandpit.

I've harvested some veg this morning and we still have potatoes to harvest so I'm going to cook some chickpeas and I'll make a curry with it all tonight 😋

I'll do my asana and meditation practice tonight once I've put my grandbaby to bed - I'll need the rest by then!! 🤣

Have a lovely slow weekend 😁

Hello folks, I'm in the North East and happily only 20 mins from the coast so have been enjoying some sea swimming. I think the unheated lido swimming has toughened me up as the North sea doesn't feel too cold.
Picking up keys for our rental tomorrow after a pilates class.  Unpacking a few things stashed in the car but everything else is arriving next week. Then another swim maybe.

Pilates was surprisingly difficult! Rental is fine , clean and tidy. See you in September
  • I am a bit late to wish you well for your digital detox but look forward to hearing how it goes when you return @leftatthetrafficlights
Florafauna - I hope that all goes well with the remainder of your house purchase. You are in another beautiful part of the country albeit with different swimming opportunities. I find Pilates quite strenuous and it certainly wakes up the muscles!

Not doing much with this heat, however, I am doing some lovely relaxing in the garden in the shade where I can catch a breeze. The birds are carrying on with business as usual and seem to be doing plenty of foraging in the shrubs and trees. I am enjoying surreptitiously watching them coming down for water quite close to me; a human with a book not apparently being perceived as a threat. I don’t stay in the same spot so they can also access the water without me around. It’s nearly time for a cup of tea again and possibly I might start another new to me book, as I have just finished one.
Happy slow summer days to all.
