Had a wildly busy day here. House offer has been accepted, and survey arranged. Went to our estate grants to sign documents to prove we are not money launderers! Painted, cleaned, decluttered and then cleaned some more. Visited poorly pal. Am now going to make an avocado salad and sit on me arris for the rest of the evening.
How do I attach a photo so I can show you all the fancy scarf?9 -
@Florafauna - congratulations!! 🙌 that's so exciting!! 🥳😁 if you use your phone to access the site, take a piccie of the scarf then on the comment box on the far right as you look at it there is an icon with what looks like a mountain and the sun/moon - press that and then coose file - it should come up with your piccie so then just add it (I've screenshot it so you can see what I mean 😉) if you don't access it by phone then I can't help I'm afraid - technology isn't my thing! 🤦♀️

@Katiehound - thank you for advising on how to post a piccie via computer- I've never used one for this site so wouldn't have a clue!!
I'm on a bit of an unpleasantly enforced slow weekend unfortunately; this cold has turned into a pretty nasty one and I feel poop 🤦♀️ thankfully dh is an angel so is taking very good care of me ❤️
Food wise I haven't been able to face anything other than a couple of bits of toast so I'll need to freeze the aduki beans that I cooked on Thursday and use them once I'm up and cooking again.
One nice thing about being stuck in bed is listening to the birds - I always have my bedroom windows open and I have tree branches about 18ins away so it's been loud and lovely!! 😁
Hope you all have a healthy and slow weekend!!DNF: £708.92/£1000

A slow start to the weekend for me (and relatively frugal). It started with a coffee in a coffee shop, sitting in the window in the sunshine, watching the world go by and listening to some coffee shop jazz. It was really peaceful and I got to watch the Ukrainian vigil from the window marking 2 years since the Russian invasion. Very sad but it’s good to honour those who have sadly lost their lives. I then went for a haircut which I had a 50% off voucher for. I very rarely get my haircut so it was a nice treat. My coffee was free using my partners health insurance he gets through work. I’m now parked up on the sofa for the rest of the day as my fatigue levels are not great. Hopefully this time resting will be beneficial7

@Florafauna congratulations on your offer being accepted. I am also going through the house buying process at the moment. I hope it all goes smoothly for you4

there's slow and the there's extra slow. and that's me.
because i've been saying to myself "if I don't clear up that mess in the carport we'll have birds nesting in there again this year". And guess what? I've just spotted a pair of tits (I think) flitting about. So I'm tempted to go out and have a look for the nest, should there be one. But what would I do? I can't clear it away. Last year I found the little nest when I was trying to clear away some stuff and a bird shot out from behind some debris. Peeked in and there were a few little beaks sticking up waiting to be fed. So I'd have a peak every week or two until the coast was clear and I was left, quite literally, with an empty nest. Which ever since I've been intending to tuck into a nearby bush as a more bird appropriate location.
I guess I'll just have to wait them out again.....so no tidying for me!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. @sunshineli it's a funny time isn't it, the house moving. I've finished doing all the tidying and decorating needed to put the house on the market and make it look as though no-one lives here 😂
I'm mega tired after all the diy over the last few days. Chilling doing some sashiko sewing now.
Planning on doing very little as slowly as I can tomorrow also.....7
