  • @Brie - I keep thinking I should paint again but my grandbaby tends to want to 'help' so I can't have a canvas out for more than a couple of days and I really want to do another canvas with oils 🤦‍♀️ perhaps I start one over the winter holidays as we don't do overnights while the schools are broken up 🤔

Dinner tonight was beetroot burgers, cauliflower florets in gram flour batter, mixed grains, green beans, hommous, rocket, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, pomegranate and a yoghurt, dill and lemon dressing. Very tasty!! 😋

I think you need to reverse things.  Set up grandbaby to do a painting that you can help with.  Then again maybe wait until summer so that you can do it outside and hose the baby and yourself down afterwards!!!  :D   I've done some particularly messy watercolours outside and it's nice to know I don't have to be careful of the rug etc.

  • Sorry you are feeling poorly @leftatthetrafficlights. This virus that is doing the rounds is vicious and hard to shake off. I know you will listen to your body and take things slow, but hopefully your recovery will be quick! I’ve had a slow day today, treating myself to a little siesta this afternoon - bliss. Get well messages to all those that need them😮‍💨

@Brie that's a bit drastic!  Hope you are ok?  My 1/4ly review is this week ... I'm hoping to still have a job by the end of it though

Yes thanks.  I'm in a low wage part time job that takes up more time than I'm paid for.  I really like it but it's time consuming so basically want to cut back my hours or cut out one day I work.  But reality is that it's hard to do my job with less hours (manager actually wants to increase them because I'm doing a good job!) so the net result is that I'll start by cutting my hours/1 day a week and then we'll look at progression planning to get a good replacement in.  Ultimately I'll likely stay on with the organisation (charity) as a volunteer but that's months down the line.

But thanks for asking!!!  I'm sure your 1/4ly will be fine.
