@Brie - I keep thinking I should paint again but my grandbaby tends to want to 'help' so I can't have a canvas out for more than a couple of days and I really want to do another canvas with oils 🤦♀️ perhaps I start one over the winter holidays as we don't do overnights while the schools are broken up 🤔
Dinner tonight was beetroot burgers, cauliflower florets in gram flour batter, mixed grains, green beans, hommous, rocket, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, pomegranate and a yoghurt, dill and lemon dressing. Very tasty!! 😋

@annieb64 - I'm glad it's not just me!! 😂
I'm having an unexpected 'do nothing' day as I've woken up feeling pretty awful 🙄🤦♀️ banging headache, feel like I've done 10 rounds with a heavyweight boxer and absolutely no energy at all 😕 I could try to do what I planned but I'd rather just accept that I'm not right and give my body a chance to heal. I cooked tonight's dinner last night so I have no reason to get out of bed apart from to get drinks and food if I feel like any (still got some pilaf left so a quick ping in the microwave and that will be sorted)
As I'm not feeling up to doing anything I've decided that I'm going to pay conscious attention to whatever I interact with today - things like the sensation of the breeze coming through my bedroom window on my exposed skin, the softness of my carpet on my bare feet, the warmth of my cup on my hands etc. I'm grateful that I can still enjoy the simple stuff regardless of where I am and what I'm doing 😁 That's the beauty of slow living, my sense of gratitude and joy have been boosted so much since I started living mindfully - it really is the little things that count the most! ❤️
Have a fab slow day 🐌 😁

I've done some particularly messy watercolours outside and it's nice to know I don't have to be careful of the rug etc.

Sorry you are feeling poorly @leftatthetrafficlights. This virus that is doing the rounds is vicious and hard to shake off. I know you will listen to your body and take things slow, but hopefully your recovery will be quick! I’ve had a slow day today, treating myself to a little siesta this afternoon - bliss. Get well messages to all those that need them😮💨2

@Brie - I've tried all sorts of ways! I bought him his own easel so that we could do joint canvases or individual ones but he just feels the need to put his 'stamp' on mine!! 😂😂😂 I've started to run out of wall space in the room I hang our canvases too so we need to be a tad more careful about how many we do! 🤦♀️
@Duchess2 - thank you and welcome to the thread! 😁
I'm starting to feel better now, still very tired but the headache is shifting and I no longer feel like I've been hit by a bus - I'm still aching but it's much more manageable so I'm hoping to resume pretty much normal service today 🙌
I've got my grandbaby after school for a sleepover tonight, I haven't got a clue what I'm going to cook for him - I did have some mushroom and walnut bolognese in the freezer but I think dh may have raided that last week 🤔 if I can't find it I'll probably do dark speckled lentils and buckwheat as I don't feel like spending too much time cooking. I've got frozen veg in so will do some of that to go with it.
I'm going to take him to feed the ducks when I pick him up - the broad that we go to is a tourist hot-spot so the ducks are frequently disinterested in food by late afternoon earlier in the year; now that most of the tourists are gone they are normally very pleased to see us!! We've got lots of migrating geese at the moment so we'll probably catch quite a few of those too 😍
I'll do a general clean today and catch up on laundry - I've just got to resist the temptation to overdo it as I don't want to stall my recovery and I have a habit of being stupid!! 🤦♀️😂
Okay, chamomile tea time - have a fab slow day!! 🐌 😁
ETA: I was doing pretty well on the grocery budget but had to order some more barberries yesterday which would normally come out of my 'bulk buy' fund - now that I've incorporated the two funds it feels like I've spent loads!! I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not!! 🤔😂
