I'm having a slow weekend after fighting off this lurgy. I am catching up on YouTube while eating my lunch. I walked on the treadmill for a while this morning as it was supposed to rain all day even though it hasn't yet. I bought a book on Amazon (Eat that Frog) as I read on Monevator that it was 99p today. I will start that later.
Sadly, my cat isn't very well and we have made an appointment for Tuesday to have her put to sleep. I am hoping that she will improve before then as she did make a remarkable recovery last year, but I don't have much hope this time. She is 15 years old.6 -
So sorry to hear about your little one Wednesday, hoping for an improvement in her condition. I have a 13yr old dog, that is starting to show his age. Between him and my DH I don’t know who has the most ailments.A restful weekend is needed after having the lurgy.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.005

@Katiehound - I know!! I much prefer old films than the rubbish they tend to put out these days! 🙄
@Wednesday2000 - I'm so sorry to hear about your cat 😞 it's always traumatic losing a pet regardless of how old they are - even when you know it's going to happen it's still heart crushing 😢 I hope you're okay x
We've had a lovely day today - we played for most of the morning then went out to feed the ducks in horizontal rain!! 😳😂 Popped into a garden centre to try to find a new bird feeder and it was absolutely crammed with christmas deccies for sale - talk about an assault on the senses!! 🤦♀️ Had to make a swift exit!!
We've spent the rest of the day playing and making stuff so it's been lots of fun 😁
Food has just been leftovers - I still have enough for tomorrow too (bolognese and banana blossom chilli) so no cooking needed until Monday - got to admit that I'm grateful for that, I'm shattered!!
Right, chamomile tea and then I'm off to bed to watch some mindless tv while dh watches football downstairs.

@Wednesday2000 - I am so sorry, it is such a difficult time and sad time when considering the future for our elderly pets. I hope that your cat picks up and has some better days for now.5

@Wednesday2000 - I hope your cat has continued to improve🤞
It's fast approaching the end of the first entire moon cycle of the winter season so I've been reflecting on the time passed and looking at tweaks and improvements for the forthcoming cycle.
It's been a really useful exercise. I've seen where I've struggled and why; looked at triggers for slipping back into poor behaviours; built routines; completed dailies other than the garden and walking on more days than not; and maintained the food diary aspect.
I've also learned what works for me; my starting points; my motivations; my next steps.
I'm happy with what I've achieved so far but I know what improvements are required. I want to make sure that the second cycle of the season is 'firmed up' and more consistent.
As a result, it's been a busy day today!
I set up all my budgets, my grocery purchases and my electricity usage/costs on the laptop along with inventories of the kitchen cupboards holding the grains, legumes, baking and sugars, tins, jars, bottles, pouches and miscellaneous items.
I've completed as much of an inventory as possible of my freezers based on what we had when we first started using the chest freezer. With this list I have planned what is going in each freezer so tomorrow I will check the inventory, adjust where necessary and reorganise them according to the new plan.
I'll also be completing the inventories of the herbs; spices; stock; open jars, bottles and packets; fridge contents; household products; toiletries; and the understair cupboard.
Once those inventories are completed I will updated the relevant spreadsheet on the laptop.
So it's going to be a busy day tomorrow too but the hardest and longest tasks have been completed today so it should be less time consuming! 😉😂
Have a fab slow evening 🐌😁

Wow @leftatthetrafficlights. You’ve been like a whirling dervish (as my DM used to say). So much for a slow life. Well done on all your achievements. You certainly deserve a rest tomorrow2
