How flat do I need to get it for the self levelling compound?

Ok, they raised our hall and extension level to the level of the slabs. To remove the slabs would have been a real nightmare. The other issue was getting the screed dried. We ended up paying for damp suppressant which I didn't like, and liked the cost even less.
Good luck with it though1 -

It doesn't matter about any dips as the compound fills those in. It can't do anything about the high spots without making the floor level higher.gt568 said:How flat do I need to get it for the self levelling compound?
They've said 3mm, so I'm guessing I need to be pretty precise...

3mm is standard average thickness. Normal compounds go from 1mm to 10mm, although there are some going to 50mm. If the floor was too level and flat you wouldn't need a compound. Don't worry about a few low spots.0
