    Almost all Ikea stuff uses these, have a look at the instructions for building a Billy bookcase and reverse the process. The screws are holding the adjacent side panel on, not anything above it.

    https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/assembly_instructions/billy-bookcase-oak-veneer__AA-982683-9-2.pdf
    Exactly as my recent reply, that's sounds correct, my lack of knowledge had me thinking those screws from underneath are for something above which isn't correct.
    My wardrobe is very similar to that Ikea example, though would be very awkward single person.

    thanks

    There will be an arrow on those camlocks (well the ones that still exist) you just turn then 1/2 to 3/4 turn anti-clockwise until the arrow points directly at the side it's securing.

    You can order replacements free from IKEA and they will post them too you, assuming it is IKEA. The installation manuals are available to download too. To disassemble start at the back and work forward through the instructions.

    @Lorian

    Does my knackered Cam lock deter removal during de installation.
    This job is too big for myself, though I could Manage de install, it's then what I could be left with to carry down 3 flights of stairs.
    Does Mser's have any user experience of taskrabbit -tradeperson type website.
    I don't even think the larger double wardrobe piece is removable via internal door, could need pro destruction to re size into smaller pieces.
    thanks

    You are probably going to need to leaver the rest of it out but if I can be brutally honest (I rarely am) You have just about dodged the bullet of causing irreparable damage. Get someone else to take it to pieces

    The double wardrobes break down to sizes that will generally fit through anyone's door when disassembled.

    That's very positive advice.

    If you’re looking to throw the wardrobe away, I would just smash it to bits with a hammer. It will take a few minutes, so pick a time when it won’t upset the neighbours too much. It’s hard to get the cams just right for disassembling, and bits like the back will have been nailed on so that you can’t pull it apart easily.
    No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
