An interesting thread. How are the savings totals coming along? Do you have in mind a target amount and target retirement date?Saving To Keep Ahead Of The Game — MoneySavingExpert Forum

Well done on the painting. I used satin on my stairs but every time I stand on it there is a footprint left behind. It does wipe off with a damp cloth but I am wondering if the hard wearing satin you used would be better. 🤔Good start to the month with the NSD’s. I’ve just done the money shuffle and paid off my credit card. I have £257 left till payday and my credit card will be hidden away! Good luck on your low spend month 🤞0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Fingers crossed for your low spend month.

Good morning,
WFH for part of the day, have a client meeting later in town, will buy the coffee, this will be an expenses spend that I will get back next month, I transfer my coffee and parking into savings and millage into my car pot each month.
The sun is out this morning and it looks like it will be a lovely day, washing machine is already on as always in the house. Mange to get a GP appointment for a fortnights time, if the pain gets any worse I will have to try and get an emergency appointment.

That is Thursday working day over
WFH today, busy with meetings, achieved a few things on my to do list which is always a good thing. Out and about day tomorrow and calling into the office. Also booked September holiday on my annual leave calendar, need to get the rest of the years bank holidays booked tomorrow or next week, before I forget.
NSD 5/15 - as I have been at home it another NSD.
Weather has been cold and wet here for most of the day, just started to dry up outside to late to put any washing out, hopefully tomorrow will be a brighter day.
Looking forward to a soak in the bath later and a few chapters of my book, just getting to a good part.
Dinner this evening will require little cooking as it just warming bolognaise sauce though that I took out of the freezer this morning and cooking some pasta, comfort food for a cold, wet day.

Happy Saturday!
NSD 6/15.
Yesterday I did the grocery shop and spend £70.90, I did buy a large tray of chicken breast, as we have used what was un the freezer, this took a large chunk of that total, however they will last a good few months. Also went to B00ts and did a recycling drop and bought a few items we needs so I could ger the 500 points. We points are building up nicely, saving them to buy myself a bottle of perfume at Christmas. When I go again I will get sun cream and after sun for our holiday in September. Picked up a free coffee from one of my apps that was due to expire.
Today is wet and windy again, there was a break in the rain at about 6.30 this morning, quickly took the dog for a walk, we were out about an hour before the rain started again.
I have been sorting through holiday clothes and would like a few new dresses for our next holiday, going to sell some of the old ones to make some money to get a few new to me dresses. Going to start with my running stuff, to painful to run anymore with my knee, I find walking does not cause me as much pain. Have a few pairs of running trainers that can go as well.
Mr D is currently painting the bathroom, needed a freshen up. I will give it a good clean later this evening when the paint has dried.

That's Wednesday working day done.
NSD 8/15
WFH this morning and had to go out at lunchtime, them back home to finish off the day. Just completed my milage and expenses for the day. I used to pay for coffees out of my current account and move the money back when I got my millage payment, now I am moving the money straight from my car pot when I buy coffees or parking, on payday all the millage payment will go straight to the car pot instead of splitting the payment as I have been doing.
Resisted spending any money when I was out, apart from expenses, I did have to pass quite a few shop, feeling very pleased with myself. The sun has been out today, which has been lovely, got a line of washing dried.
I have had two Vinted sales, grand total of £3.00, every little helps towards my dress fund. Have listed two more items, need to go into the loft and get the holiday suitcase down and see what is in there that I will not wear again.
Nice easy dinner this evening, fish, new potatoes and salad. Fish has been in the freezer for a while and needs using up, will cook in greaseproof paper parcels with lemon and a knob of butter.
