Wireless, 394ft Bluetooth Range, Refrigerator Thermometer, Dewpoint/VPD/Absolute Humidity Sensor.

Saw that one you have to buy a hub with it, ( £75 for both) seems expensive for temp reading. Thank you for looking much appreciated.. just looked again not sure you do need a hub. Seems that one can just be used on it’s own with app. Am I right?

As I read it, the hub is only required for cloud storage, storage of more than 2 years of data, push notifications and Alexa integration.

Those things don't really bother me so I've just ordered one to try for that price.

I believe the phone to sensor connection is (or can be) Bluetooth, so no WiFi hub involved. Hub would be needed for Alexa (etc) control or cloud storage.

Bluetooth connection to outdoor devices can be iffy, and of course you could go away with your phone, but  the sensor seems to have onboard storage (60-odd days). This allows the app to 'catch up when you are back in Bluetooth range.

Quite neat, if it works.

havn’t got it up & running yet, but have told my dad people are waiting with baited breath, he feels little poorly & I may have fractured my ankle, I definitely will update soon as we get it going. Thanks for your interest

Yes, I bought one and it's really good. It was very easy to set up. I put it in a drinks fridge so I can keep an eye on the temperatures.

In fact, I liked it so much, I've recently gone and bought the set of 3. I put all 4 side by side and they all read the same temperature and humidity within 0.1 degree or 1% and they agree with other thermometers/hygrometers I have so I'm sure they're pretty accurate.

Outdoor meter 1 is in the garden. I'll rename them once I've decided on their final locations.

Am I correct that they use Bluetooth to your phone?
And that if you e.g. go out for a day/week with your phone, when you get back the sensor downloads all 'missed'  readings to the app?
