Yet the court hearing date is shown as 20th December 2024 on the court order!BrickwallPap said:Hi all, The small claims court hearing is 19th December.
The claim is for £297.50 from BW Legal.
They wrote last week to offer a settlement for £150. Should I accept and pay the £150 or go to court?
Thank you for your help.2 -
I've receive a big pack of documents from BW. The letter says its clients evidence to be replied upon the forthcoming hearing.
I haven't submitted a bundle. Does this mean I've messed up?
The money claim online doesn't have the latest information with the court case. It doesn't show if they paid the hearing fee.0 -
you really need to be following the court directions as per the order
forget money claim online that is completely irrelevant now
if you had come here originally you could have defended it properly1 -
14 days before the hearing is the normal deadline for documents so get working on it today and then submit it to the court and bw legal
but you cant have a defence of "i was willing to pay £60"1 -
my defence is that I'm happy to pay the fine but they didn't allow me to pay it. the website just said 'debt collection' and didn't allow me to pay. then the letter comes through asking for £170...0

That item 6 on the court order told you the deadline was 2 weeks before the hearing, so by tomorrow, you were told to read it , it was your job to work it out and diarise the date, with a calendar reminder on the 1st December to remind youBrickwallPap said:I've receive a big pack of documents from BW. MCOL stopped working on your case months ago when they transferred the case to your local civil court, the court that you wrote on your N180 DQ form months ago
You should be contacting that local court ( not MCOL. ) to check if the hearing fee has been paid, or not , a phone call should do it
Get a grip, find out, if it was paid then get your big WS bundle to the court and to B W Legal ASAP, or you will lose the case1 -
dont bother wasting your time finding out IMHO, that could take hours
just do the WS and send it0
