Pat, I believe you could write up an account of your case, as you have done in your thread, and our defendant can include it in his own witness statement pack under the heading of Hearsay Evidence...
  • That would be handy yes. I have just had an email this morning from DCB Legal which is their hearing bundle, saying a copy has also been filed to the court.

Which appears to be a 90 page document bundle compiling everything. Do I need to do this as well? I was just going to print off some bits to reference and take with me on the day, as below:

    Printed defence

    Printed WS

    Printed claimant WS

Printed Excel v Wilkinson, and Chan and Akande

Bullet points of certain sections to discuss and briefly what they are regarding (crib sheet)

Your court order told both parties when the deadline is for the WS bundle submission to both parties,  so when is or when was that deadline  ?

If you have received theirs,  yours must be due

Your proposed actions are not part of the process,  your WS bundle needs completing and submitting asap

Yes that was back in October, I submitted on deadline all received. As did they with their WS. Now they’ve sent through the “hearing bundle”. Not mentioned court docs, so assuming I don’t need to send anything else as they have it all already.

My proposed bits was just for me on the day so I have all the documents to hand in the room and a crib sheet reminding me of key points, where they’re found in my documents etc

So checking it again it states 11th oct for WS and also for all other docs relevant. All that are relevant to me were in the WS and defence, same as DCBs I believe as it included all of their exhibits

was just a bit surprised to have this large bundle drop in my inbox today. Now a bit concerned I need to prep something else, but didn’t think I had to.

No you don't. The bundle should contain your stuff and their stuff to assist the Judge. They've done that to try to score brownie points.

You can access it on a device if you take one with you on the day.  With 90 pages you'll need to have fast access to them all, in order to follow what's being said by the Judge or the other side.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Sorry, been busy! Happy to assist @paddyposh anyway I can :D

Thanks. So just to confirm, I could take my laptop with it all open ready for referencing rather than a load of printouts? If so, do I need to inform them or is it OK to just turn up with it?

Thanks @Pat_Burger did you take paperwork with you or your laptop? Was reading your thread and there are a lot of similarities.

My hearing is 9th Jan, planning to sit down 6th Jan and go through my defence and WS again and write down some of the key points bulleted to mention on the day. Did you do something similar for preparation?

Was wondering if I could reference your case on the day, but obviously it isn’t in any of my documents currently. But as a recent victory I thought maybe it could be worthwhile being so similar, as well as having the same issue with Mr Vorland being a (probable) no show
