Return being refused as I used a new customer discount code.

Hiya. I was wondering if I can get any help, I have contacted trading standards but no reply yet.
I brought a few items of clothing online, which I payed on my credit card as I’m between sizes so I ordered two sizes of 3 items, so 6 items in total. I checked the return policy first which stated free returns.

Firstly there was no return address so I had to contact them, they asked what the issue was and the process did seem abit strange as the reply’s were delayed and then they said they can offer me a 20% discount on my next purchase, so I proceeded to ask what the return address is, they then said that after looking into it they cannot return the items as they are sale? They are not sale items they were full price but as I had a new customer discount code it took money off they are saying these are now sale??
I’ve also been having text messages from them every time I go on there website which is very strange, to encourage me to use my new customer code, so it’s like they do it so people are not able to return!!
I’ve never heard of this before I have put up a fight with them but they are not budging. I have contacted my credit card company and trading standards but just wanted sone advice?

Who is the company?0

Are they UK based ( I suspect not .....) ?0

It does sound very much like this is an overseas seller - probably Far East - perhaps on Facebook or similar. The tactics to deny a return are typical.1

They’re called curvy power. They always reply at about 3am by the same person, although she says she’s contacted the ‘returns team’ so I assume they are not uk, although I haven’t had a reply in the last week. It says registered in England and wales but yeah I’m not so sure his i can find this out? Thanks0

They are a UK-registered company:
https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/12990944
so UK consumer law applies. But they also appear to be a one-person outfit with one woman in Morocco being the only director and shareholder, so I doubt their UK operation amounts to more than a mailbox at the registered office.1 -
They are registered at companies house with an address that has several hundred other companies registered. Both the named officers are residents of Morocco. They don't seem to have any actual UK presence. That website and the T&Cs just scream run away. You need to push for that return and refund - and not pay the illegal restocking fee. If they refuse contact your credit card for a chargeback.1

Thanks everyone for your help.
I contacted my credit card company a week ago and have sent a claims form so hopefully get an answer soon. She hasn’t been replying to my recent emails.speaking of illegal restocking fees a few months ago I ordered from a website called pixie girl which when I returned my items I got charged for the restocking fee, I tried to argue that aswell but I left it. Do I stand somewhere with that too?I have now learnt not to trust these terrible company’s and will not be using them in the future after the second time!!0 -

just 5 minutes ago I received a letter from my credit card, to say they are not able to help with ‘curveypower’ purchase as they haven’t agreed on a refund there’s nothing they can do.0
