Unfortunately these sorts of company pop up all the time. Advice is avoid because they will generally be of dubious quality and very difficult to return items to.

Was the total price over 100.00 as if you paid by credit card you will have possibilities there.

You need to point out to your credit card provider that the seller is refusing your rights under The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013  (https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2013/3134/made) by not facilitating a cancellation and return of the goods so you are requesting they initiate a chargeback for the value of those goods.  That would then put the ball firmly in the court of the seller to refute the claim.

As I have pointed out before. Consumer rights have nothing to do with chargebacks. You have to meet the requirements of the card regulations.

Just do a advanced search on 24-26 Arcadia Avenue on companies House...

Also look at T/C 11 & 12 of this retailer..

I bet they are just a drop shipper given a mobile number as contact.

I don't know how to say this without coming across as mean, but really the public needs more education on things like this (not meaning to victim-blame, just realistically it's very realistically unlikely for these fly-by-night websites to be shut down before consumers get to them).

The site in question has been getting pages and pages of reviews calling it a scam for years - https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/curvypower.co.uk (I presume the OP is the same person who left a review a week and half ago):

    Clarissa
    4 reviews GB
DO NOT USE. Wish I read the reviews first...

And I think this part is the problem in a nutshell. People will only research these unknown companies after they've handed their money to them.

These sites continue to exist and proliferate because there's an endless stream of people falling for it.

I truly have sympathy for the OP, they are of course a victim, and while in a Utopian world these sites would be cracked down on instantly, in reality one of the best forms of defence against these companies is research.

Regarding the Trading Standards part, I'd probably wouldn't hold your breath on this. While it is the function of TS to investigate rogue traders and scammers at high level (e.g. taking the businesses to court and shutting them down), they don't usually get involved in the low level stuff (e.g. helping individual customers claim refunds for specific orders).

Your best bet is your credit card provider.

Also the backed website registration is private, though it is a Shopify site (nowadays almost synonymous with drop-shipping).

If I was a betting man, I'd go with @Aylesbury_Duck that it's probably a seller from the Far East. All the reviews saying the clothes took a long time to arrive and were too small is a classic symptom.

You can find all these exact products with the exact same images manufactured in China on AliExpress.
