Maybe contact your card company if you used one.
They can get your money back.

Annoyingly didn't get a chance to record the last call when she said she'd send an e-mail with the update on the returns. Again as sent nothing. Maybe I need to do some SAR requests for their own phone recordings.0

Last week I needed a new tyre quickly, so on Sunday I did my searches online and Blackcircles were the cheapest. Decided to wait until Monday morning and went back on to order. The price had jumped £15/tyre.
I though that's a bit quick over the weekend and then I thought I have seen this before with airline tickets so deleted all my cookies and sure enough the price returned to the previous day's price. Wasn't impressed so talked to a local guy and though not quite as cheap, he got the business because I sure as hell wasn't giving it to Blackcircles.

steviebuk said:Anyone used them? First time using them for a tyre I need by next Tuesday. So ordered it, it arrived this Monday. Totally the wrong tyre, how do you get that so wrong. I call, they take details say they'll collect the incorrect one, can't give me a day and then send replacement. Nothing all week, no e-mail confirming this.
I call again, same run around, this time saying nothing was put on the notes from the last call. This time I call via works phone system so the call is recorded and I have access to the recording. Same as above, I ask for a reference this time. Told they don't give out ones. I said you must do as it states it when you call up, what is your ref.
Anyway. I call again today as still no e-mail confirming any of this. Again, they said no notes on the ticket. Half way through the call the woman I'm speaking to realises she the one that took the call yesterday. Says she gave them the details of the wrong tyre yet they claim they can't collect as its not the correct details. I said it is, it has Blackcircles label all over it. I've now said I'll take a photo and send that. I'll also cancel the order as it won't arrive before Tuesday now. She said they can't refund until they've seen the incorrect tyre.
Is it OK to do a charge back on the card? Then they can collect the tyre whenever, if I'm not in, tough, they can take it up with Nationwide. I have the recordings for both calls now because of this. Will never be using them again.
Recorded calls are not evidence that can be used.
If they can't collect it, they will reject chargeback, you get redebited & have lost that way of getting money back. Only get one chance.Life in the slow lane0 -
I've used them several times, no issues. Been the cheapest by a long shot compared to local / other online suppliers, albeit for the relatively odd ball sizes on our cars. More standard / common sizes i'm sure my local guy could get close enough / match.
But never had any issues with them.
Like so many of these high volume / low margin operators, they're great for the 99.5% of the time it all goes well, but dont cope well when it doesnt.0 -
Nationwide are now on the case. A chargeback has been filed and they'll investigate. They have said now they are investigating there is no need to pay the bill, they'll contact Blackcirlces themselves.
Its been 3 days since the weekend, 3 days of nothing from them regarding the call at the weekend where they said they'd process the refund and look at collecting the tyre that they said they can't collect for a few weeks (also originally claimed they couldn't refund until they got the tyre back despite saying they can't pick it up for a few weeks).
They've now had the cheek to send me an e-mail asking for me to review their great service! In filling that in it asked "Do you need us to contact you about your order/issue" I said yes, nothing. They haven't e-mailed regarding it or even tried to call.
REALLY REALLY bad customer service.0 -

It's all done interbank. So Nationwide send chargeback to BC merchant bank. BC then have 45 days to contest your refund. 👍
Urgent tyre need, would rather ring round local tyre fitters. No wonder we are losing local retailers.Life in the slow lane0 -
