If you don't reach your target, it's not a failure. Save what you can afford.[Deleted User] said:Hi I am number 37 and I would like to unjoin, I am not sure if I can save I need to have an attempt at it first before I join, sorry can you take me off the spreadsheet - thanks.1 -
@[Deleted User] your future self will thank you even if you just record your Tilly Tally totals - These are the bits that you round down in your current account to a separate savings account. Some months that is all there is here, in others there are bits and pieces like sales, in the Bay of E or survey vouchers to add.[Deleted User] said:Hi I am number 37 and I would like to unjoin, I am not sure if I can save I need to have an attempt at it first before I join, sorry can you take me off the spreadsheet - thanks.
Maybe just leave our target removed and report in what you can. I find other people's little posts and insights inspire me to try new things and it all helps. I picked up on the grocery challenge thread by being part of this one and managed to pare that back by several hundred a month over several years, so lots of other benefits from being part of this thread. (Don't ask where we started, it was an embarrassment!)Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I finished the year at £2880.99/£3000 or 96.03% of my annual spend so I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the grow your own in 2026 discussion thread
My keep within our budget diary is here3 -

I second this. You have a mission in your sig to save £1,000 by April, so perhaps £3,000 for the year would feel more achievable.x_raphael_xx said:[Deleted User] said:Hi I am number 37 and I would like to unjoin, I am not sure if I can save I need to have an attempt at it first before I join, sorry can you take me off the spreadsheet - thanks.Currently my savings for this year are 19p from interest...if you want to make an attempt at saving...use this challenge!
