Look forward to getting mine at Christmas 2024! Is it paid separately or added to the pension?0

Got mine also. Do wonder what the cost of processing/paying this is. But I am off on a spree!

Separate. I shall look now to see if mine has come.fly-catchers said:Look forward to getting mine at Christmas 2024! Is it paid separately or added to the pension?
Edit: it hasn't but my £500 winter payment has.0 -

Mine has always been added to my weekly state pensionfly-catchers said:Look forward to getting mine at Christmas 2024! Is it paid separately or added to the pension?0 -
Separately from state pension.@fly-catchers said:Look forward to getting mine at Christmas 2024! Is it paid separately or added to the pension?
I thought it was linked to the winter fuel payment/allowance, but no, it is dependent on receiving a qualifying benefit of which SP is one ... https://www.gov.uk/christmas-bonus/eligibility
So I've posted this on the wrong board, no worries I'll post it on the Pensions board ... and the Benefits board
... NO they all cry! ... OK 🍷.

Mines arrived into bank account this morning.
I ve passed it straight onto an obscure charity called Feathers Claws and Paws Poultry Rescue who came 40 miles to collect two young Cockerels I found which were just dumped. Not uncommon when they are hatched out as pets then start to crow their heads off when they get older . They brought a "sexy " hen along to tempt the boys into their cages .7 -
I turn 66 and start getting the state pension tomorrow! All set up and my first actual payment should be on the 22nd. I looked at the rules about the Xmas bonus and I reckon I should qualify - it says you do if you're receiving the pension in the qualifying week or during the qualifying week which starts today. It doesn't say anything about getting it throughout the week.
However nothing received this morning but I suppose it might be paid later in the week. By any chance does anyone older than me with a birthday around now have any experience of this from past years?2 -
Clearly some one did not have the "Energy" to post in the correct section 🤣Life in the slow lane4
