Washing up liquid, water and some sugar is supposed to work, but have never tried it myself.

Stardrops, available in most supermarkets. It's a sort of all-purpose cleaner, washing up liquid, floor wash, bathroom/kitchen cleaner. About 55p a bottle.

I asked the same question on the 'I wanna' board a few months ago, and this is the recipe that was suggested:

    1. Gently mix 1/2 cup (500 mL) liquid dishwater detergent, 4-1/2 cups (4.5 L) water, and 4 tablespoons glycerin (60 mL) in container.

    2. Foam may be skimmed from the top before use.

    3. Have fun!

I made a half quantity to try it and it works very well, I think it's the glycerin that makes the difference. Need to make some more as the neighbour has turned up with a bubble-blowing dog for littlun that will use it in industrial quantities methinks!

You have to put a bit of glycerine in the washing up liquid/water mix. Not sure about the ratio though: I gues it would be something like 2 floz of washing liquid, 8 floz of water to half a floz of glycerine, but Im not too sure if that's exact.

It's the glycerine which makes all the difference. Just a dash or two is all that's needed (if anyone is doing a Wine & Wisdom a 'dash' equals 6 drops ;) )

molly - no such thing as a silly question! You can't 'know' what you don't 'know' ;)
