Update, I have received this letter from DCB following on from my defence submission, they included their directions questionnaire. I'm awaiting mine sent from the court. So pleased they are "assisting" the court... I'm guessing there's no point in calling them to see if they want to stop wasting both our time and energy!!! Or just blank it and see them in court.
    No need to guess.

That letter already features in the first 12 steps in the Template Defence thread.

  • Update! Filed my N180 today via email and served DCB via email.

Awaiting date for court now, will get ready my WS.

That letter is the copy and paste DCBL send out.   However, they want to deal because they don't want to go to court, can't blame them

The ball is in their court now .... decisions decisions for DCBL

It is after all one of those daft UKPC claims
Better for DCBL to discontinue than get a court spanking

Their profiles clearly show their threads.

That's why I provide profile links! Test it out by clicking on your own profile, or mine.

Look again at mine or yours. Widen your view.

I have clinked on the links you have provided and it only navigates for me to badges obtained and when they were received and not the actual posts. Much like a summary page.
    No it doesn't.

No we can't go to their profiles for you and trawl through their threads for their WS.  That would take us ages and there's no need. Nothing is happening your end, except you are missing where their threads are listed.

On a laptop they are on the left.

On a phone they are at the bottom.

You are just looking for the word 'threads' and I promise it is on their profile.

    Hi Coupon,

Thanks, yesterday I managed to navigate to the threads after your last directions.

I have completed my Witness statement after editing one from Citizen K, which saved me so much time.

My question now, its 35 pages long! should I hold off on printing this as the Claimant has to pay the court fee on the 9th August 2024 by 4pm. I wonder if they may bail before we get to court, it would seem to me sensible to wait! but is there a way I can check if they have not paid the court fee? I have till the 14th August to get my paper work in.

Definitely wait until after the court fee date, checking with your local court if its been paid, discontinued etc , so early next week

Why are you printing it. ?

Standard advice is to email it to the local court, and cc yourself and the lawyers. ( Or claimant if no lawyers were used. ) so one email with bundle attached, 3 recipients

Its better and cheaper to save the trees if at all possible, although the court will have printing limits or pdf size limits in place

    Thanks Gr1pr,

I didn't realise I could email, thought I needed to print and deliver!! Ok, that makes things way easier. I'll hold off until the 10th and see if they have paid the trial fee... fingers crossed they bottle it on the 9th.

Double check there is nothing in CitizenK's WS that doesn't relate to your case.  One of the exemplars talks about 'paying at a kiosk' and it drives us mad when people blindly copy that!

Also, if you used the Template Defence then some of the stuff in your WS will already be written verbatim in your defence. REMOVE any obvious repetition of blurb in the second half of the (overly long) WS example, if you already had it in the defence document.
