Cynergy Bank - IT Issues. Cant access their website. Is it just me?

To repeat my previous posts, I tried everything, using different browsers on different computers, trying to open the website without antivirus, antispam, clearing the cashe and nothing worked.
Then, miraculously, its up a running on all my computers in all operating systems.

Either way the Cynergy bank website is still working, I can login to my Accounts again and I have downloaded and copied all relevant bank statements for the Easy Access Accounts for HMRC requirements. I would shut the Account completely if I could, but I also have a Fixed Term Savings Account so I am stuck with Cynergy for a while.
I have opened an alternative Easy Access Account with a different bank (Ulster) and closed the Cynergy Easy Access Account. Yes. I am voting with my feet....... Frankly there is an enormous choice of Easy Access Bank Accounts and I don't have to put up with this issue elsewhere.
For what it is worth I still don't think my computers were responsible for not being able to open the Cynergy bank website. Its the only website I have had problems with (NatWest opens and never has been a problem) and I did nothing for it to suddenly start working & accessible again.
It could be an IP address issue, but closing the Cynergy Account is, by far, the easier and less complex solution.It's a Cynergy specific issue. I believe they are using an out of date list of IP addresses that they (or their service provider) block.It's difficult to find out when your IP address changed. For what it's worth the IP address that didn't work for me started with 103. and ones that did work started with 43. and 80. If you had stayed with Cynergy it is quite possible that it would have stopped working again, if you had been assigned a "bad" (from their point of view) IP address.I guess they, or their service provider, may correct their list of blocked IP addresses at some point but I agree they are hopeless at providing any support on this issue. I reported it a couple of week ago and have heard nothing back. I have verified that I can force an IP address renewal from my router that fixes the problem but it's not at all satisfactory.

I too am blocked - I'm a brand new sign up: and then get that horrible error page:Why on earth are they blocking IP addresses that are UK mainstream broadband providers.....

And the fact their DNS does not support 'cynergybank.co.uk' - but only 'cynergybank.co.uk'...
There really is zero reason for that!

I then get a 'Scheduled maintenance' page! After getting round the IP address sillyness by using 4G network instead of my broadband!Sure enough, their website 'News' page says:
- Monday 19 February 2024 Online Banking scheduled maintenance
- Online Banking will not be available for two hours (5.30pm - 7.30pm) on Monday, 19 February 2024.

Anyone else still having issues?
Two of us here haven't used our Cynergy accounts for months but both unable to log on with our respective mobile devices.
We've had lots of these accounts in the past.

I had exactly the issue stated on the first post of this thread and having read through the posts in a panic and spent many unsuccessful attempts (I need my money now) I finaly found a method that worked.
1. Switch off WiFi on my android phone.
2. I could then log in to Cynergy Accout on my phone using my phone data.
3. Withdrew the funds I needed.
4. Panic over
5. Went back to my PC which is connected to my WiFi and found Cynergy web page was displayed as if nothing had happened. It just flicked into view the moment I shut down my phone.
6. I then logged in to Cynergy on my PC as per previous normal.
7. No requirement to do any more transactions so I don't know what will happen next time round.
8. After that scare I do not intend that my sole instant access money will remain with them.0 -

I had to reset my Authenticator as I got a new phone at the weekend and that worked okay, so no complaints.0

I had a different problem when I opened an account with Cynergy Bank today. I had all my log in and security information. I downloaded both apps. Then tried to log into my account.
My User ID or passcode were not recognised by the bank app. I checked several times to make sure I had the correct User ID and passcode. They were correct. No luck logging in. So I thought I would try my luck on the website. Same problems there.
I gave up and opened an account with a different bank who were offering the same interest rate for the same product type. No issues at all.0
