So is the advice to just to ignore them until you get a before claim letter?Coupon-mad said:You know you can collect stuff and stop on DYL? It's what they are there for (seriously). You don't pay a scum ex-clamper firm who were outed on rogue traders/Watchdog!

Oh right sorry im with you, yeah was literally there like 3-4 mins picking something up. So can I appeal against the letter from the debt collectors or is it too late now, just basically want to know how many times they will try to enforce it before making a claim.0

We have no idea and they aren't 'enforcing' anything. Just ignore them.
And do use DYL on street with confidence, if loading, unloading or setting down/picking up passengers.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If it's gone to debt scammers it's too late to appeal you ignored that stage by your own admission, but debt collectors are powerless anyway as you don't have a debt only an out of the blue letter from chancers that claim you have a debt.Don't ignore a real county court claim if one should come though.1

You need to get your story straight! As advised above and in the NEWBIE sticky, you don't appeal against debt collector rubbish, you ignore itob98 said:
So i stopped on double yellows to grab something for like 2 mins and someone came outside their house and took photos on their phone, must have then reported them.fisherjim said:
So who engaged the PPC?ob98 said:It was a private residential street so no "landowner" as such, was in Liberty Close, Havant, HampshireOh right sorry im with you, yeah was literally there like 3-4 mins picking something up. So i got a photo of the sign today. I see it says that its a £100 fine but they apply £60 as a "collection fee". By their own admission does that not mean the max they can "claim" from me is £160. Even though they're already asking for £170. Also says if you breach any term or condition you get fined. Yet the conditions state about being parked in a bay with a permit. Nothing about not being able to stop on yellow lines. So no term has been breached?

I agree with that. That's a significant point.ob98 said:So i got a photo of the sign today. I see it says that its a £100 fine but they apply £60 as a "collection fee". By their own admission does that not mean the max they can "claim" from me is £160. Even though they're already asking for £170.
But you weren't parked "wholly within the confines of a marked bay" were you?ob98 said:Also says if you breach any term or condition you get fined. Ah yeah if you put it like that then yeah fair enough. My main point was the money. Be interesting to see how much they try to increase that with more letters.0

"Also says if you breach any term or condition you get fined."
Can't see that word anywhere though.0
