Hi. Can I join please? Not sure what I’m doing but I assume it’s 1p 1st Jan, 2p 2nd etc. does it reset itself in February?
Hi, It doesn't reset in February, it keeps going. As you said 1p 1st Jan, 2p 2nd Jan, but it keeps going.. there's 366 days in 2024 so December 31st 2024 will be 366p (£3.66).

To make saving more simple for me I'm doing a version I call the £10 challenge which will get me £780 saved if I manage it:
    £10 put away in January
    £20 put away in February
    £30 put away in March
    £40 put away in April
    £50 put away in May
    £60 put away in June
    £70 put away in July
    £80 put away in August
    £90 put away in September
    £100 put away in October
    £110 put away in November
    £120 put away in December
    Total put away = £780

Love the monthly challenge, have just set up regular payments for this into a savings account 😊
  • Good Morning All, Just seen this vis Twitter (X).  Could I please join your fantastic idea.  Many thanks
  • How do people do this?  Put 1p in a jar, or transfer 1p to a savings pot with Monzo etc.?

  • Good morning and Happy New Year! As I am aiming to complete this by October I have rolled a dice this morning to get 4 months at random.  So I have put away the amounts for January, February, March and August.  This takes me to £112.85 saved.

Personally I transfer to my savings account weekly.
  • Happy New Year everyone! That’s the first transfer done - £3.66 for me as I’m doing it backwards. Is there a grid somewhere for weekly savings (like the monthly one) already done?

Please can I join this challenge this year? Just created a new pot in my account and transferred £1.88 across (interest from my current account that I woke up to this morning!)

I'm going to do the monthly version, but I've split this month's amount (£112.16, I'm following the reverse order one) into two. So I've just moved £56.08 into my savings, and I'll move the rest in a fortnight's time
