Another little win to report whilst I'm waiting for my washload to finish, I finally googled when and how the Chase cashback gets paid, found the little pot and transferred that into the Car Insurance pot which is coming along nicelyI'm hoping with all my fingers crossed to be able to put £100 each into my Christmas pot and Insurance pot as I will have a fair bit of overtime in my pay this month, which will take the Insurance pot to over 50% of where I hope to get it. It's unlikely I'll get my insurance for £300 but you never know, all of my claims have been over 5 years ago now I believe so might get a cheaper deal than usual but I'll have a good chunk of whatever it comes out as in April saved at least.

Our insurance is due for renewal in March - I'm not looking forward to getting the renewal notice!

Good day today, the cheque cleared on my banking app so I moved £25 of it an emergency fund pot. I also did a quick Prolific survey on my break that took me over the £5 mark so withdrew that and moved enough to my Car Insurance pot to make it a nice round £70 for now and I've done a couple of Prolific surveys since getting home.
-5 by the time I got home this evening it was freezing! Roll on the weekend when it warms up again. Thankfully Saturday is when I start a set of early shifts so I am grateful that I won't have to be sorting out my car at 6am.
I'm not in work until 5pm tomorrow, I need to run into the next town and pick up a parcel once rush hour has died down but then hoping to have a (somewhat) lazy day whilst I've got the house to myself tomorrow. There will be some spends tomorrow - mainly the fee to transfer ownership of my cat on his microchip so anything else I need to pay for tomorrow I'll get done in one day because the next NSD I have after will be my 10th 😉 little wins!
I now have over £600 in savings (the house savings are obviously bulking that figure out substantially) and it makes me smile every time I check my Chase account. I was actually a bit annoyed on the way home when I picked up some milk and coffee that it came to a round figure which meant no round ups and no squirrelling 🤣
On the plus side, I resisted takeaway at work tonight and stuck with my food I'd brought it. I was very, very, very tempted but stuck to my guns (I actually had to google whether that was a correct phrase as it didn't seem to make sense when I typed it 🤣)Starting Debt Total: £10156.43/£9723.43 Current Total

Morning MSE land
I have had a delightfully lazy morning so far, got up at around 9am all I've done is have a coffee, do one prolific survey and grabbed a teeny amount of my other work before there was no more to pick up. I'm going to have some breakfast in a minute then have a quick rifle through my clothes to see if anything is Vinted worthy.
I've emailed my credit union to enquire about closing the account down and sent a chaser email to the vets my friend wants to use for what is now her cat - I really hate talking to people on the phone 🤣 (as I've typed that, the vets replied asking me to phone them, I'll muster up the energy for that at some point...)
Other than that it'll just be a case of keeping an eye on surveys/extra work before I get myself ready for my overtime shift

Late post tonight but still quite awake due to all my lazing earlier
Didn't call the vets but it's on my to-do list for tomorrow. I did list two dresses on Vinted though. I think I have some weird feelings about selling things where over god knows how many years I've had to sell things I really loved just to make ends meet because of my debts. I had a word with myself though and got on with it - they are nice dresses but equally I didn't feel totally comfortable in them and I won't wear them again.
Prolific seems to have picked up! £7.95 cashed out with still another £7 or so pending, squirrelled £8 to my insurance pot.
I felt very proud of myself when I got home from my overtime - all I could think about for the last hour at work was a McDonalds and I literally felt like I was craving it but reminded myself what my new habits are all about and just made a noodle thing when I got home. Definitely not the same but once I'd parked up I was pleased I hadn't caved in.
Right, off to update my savings signature then hopefully some sleep. XStarting Debt Total: £10156.43/£9723.43 Current Total

Me again! This forum is the only things that keeps me consistent and I know if I don't stick to posting I'll be so much more tempted to slip.
Spent a whole £3 today on a birthday card for a birthday next month and some deodorant. No more birthday cards to buy until March, and that only got bought today as I had to mooch in town for a bit whilst my nan dropped one of my (much younger) cousins off somewhere. There were so many things I looked at in a clothes shop that briefly thought "Oooh I could just move this money..." Nope. Not doing it.
I also flirted with the idea of some new running trainers for a bit this morning but talked myself out if it with the rational thinking of 'Well I haven't even started back up yet, I don't even know if it'll cause me more pain if I start up again, so what's the point of buying them yet when I could just set some money aside each month whilst I start getting back into it properly'. I over-pronate and have had various running related foot issues over the years so just tend to stick with one brand and style that I know works. I'll shop around for old season ones too to save some money when it comes to it but the ones I have currently are getting really worn out.
There's a study for over a fiver sat staring at me on Prolific but it says you need a microphone (with no mention of why in the description) I just keep sitting and staring at it. There's other people at home being quite loud (it is a Friday night after all) so if I do need the microphone it'll probably pick up a lot of that!!!
12 days until payday, approx £65 in my 'spare money' account although I'll need a bit of it for fuel. Should make it with some money at the end for the first time in yearsStarting Debt Total: £10156.43/£9723.43 Current Total

Well done on sensible shoe decisions, and looking like you'll finish the month with money- especially this long grim month!
I don't know about prolific but some sites will still enter you in a draw or give you a few pence for trying so you may as well click on it- I've also had surveys say 'Make Sure You Have Volume On (Or Else!)' then there's been no audio or video in it
They may not be to your or your recipients taste- and I'm not encouraging you to spend!- but lots of people on here recommend Whistlefish for decent quality and well priced cards, if it would be worth your while to stock up on what you know you'll need1 -

Prolific is a bit different but the noisy people have popped out so I clicked on it and just needed audio not a microphone. I also had a quick look at Whistlefish and some of the cards are lovely, I can definitely pick 10 of those cards for £10 just on birthdays/events that will be happening this year (great that you can order Mothers Day and Fathers Day cards now too!)
