I'll be sure to name drop you @PennysIntoPounds
I don't plan on letting it happen again!
Post night shift wind down, took a rice snack (like a Pot Noodle, but rice lol) as well as my Pasta so safely avoided the tuck shop or the fridge bits of the canteen again which I'm super happy with as I was probably spending at least £3-£4 most shifts recently, especially on night shifts.
Just did a really small squirrel from Qmee, I was 7p short of my car insurance pot being at £50 so redeemed my whopping 12p from there to take it over the £50 mark
I'm genuinely still in awe that I've a) got money left still 10 days into the month outside of petrol and food money and b) have just over £570 in savings!!! I honestly feel like my mindset has really changed and I'm always actively trying to avoid spending unnecessary money (unless its my second trek to the post office and I just want it done and dusted...but that won't be repeated!)

You're doing really well and seem to have gathered some momentum, so to speak, which is helping.

I have done precisely nothing since I woke up other than have a coffee and trawl through diaries on here and it has been delightful (once I got over the guilt of not trying to make any more money - I just needed to chill before work today).
I do need to get myself up and sorted though, I need to swing by the supermarket on the way into work as I just have one noodle pot to take with me so need to pick up a ready meal as my 'proper' meal during the shift but will make the most of being in there and get some bits for meals for tomorrow/my days off and pick up some cereal and bread as well. I have a rough idea of what I'll need but will make a proper list before I head out (have actually just done that whilst writing this to make sure I did it)
Right, off for a shower then time to head out.Starting Debt Total: £10156.43/£9723.43 Current Total

On the plus side, at least doing that you didn't spend any either.0 -

That time of the morning again, slightly later due to de-icing my car.
I only got what was needed on my shopping list and squirrelled away the round up to the car insurance pot which is just the new normal now!
Work tonight - I am not one at all to blow my own trumpet but I was genuinely excellent at work and drove home on a little high and full of job satisfaction although currently wide awake until some of the adrenaline wears off
Finally managed to track down my blackout eye mask when I got in, so hoping to sleep past 1.30pm today unlike the last two days. Sleep always feels more precious between night shifts for some reason. Should be another NSD when I wake up, I have absolutely no reason to spend any money before I go to workStarting Debt Total: £10156.43/£9723.43 Current Total

Evening all
Quick check-in before I get ready for work, did a little bit of extra work after I got up, hopefully I can get a fair bit done tomorrow. It's my last night shift tonight I generally try and get up at around midday the day I come off of my last one so have a whole day to try and make some extra pennies. Going to check the overtime sheet at work when I go in and see if there is anything that takes my fancy over the weekend just to get a few more pennies in my final pay from my currently employer next month.
Not much else to report, just keeping myself accountable

Evening all
My plan for getting up at around midday did not happen, I ended up waking up at my usual night shift time of around 3pm after snoozing my alarm many times so tonight will be a long night. Did a bit of extra work when I got in this morning and have done a couple of Prolific studies since I woke up. Currently have £5.15 pending all the ones I've done seem to be on the slower side of being approved.
I avoided the tuck shop and canteen for a whole set of shifts at work, small win but they all add up, right?!
There wasn't any overtime this weekend I fancied - only more night shifts - so my focus this weekend will be about Prolific and my other little job and just doing the best that I can. Small spend today, £5 into a collection for someone I get on with well at work who is leaving, I waited until after midnight as I'd already called yesterday a NSD on the challenge thread
Need to think about getting properly up and dressed soon, it has been a verryyyy lazy day so far!Starting Debt Total: £10156.43/£9723.43 Current Total

If you need sleep, you need sleep. Bad mse decisions occur when we're not rested and well.
Avoiding tuck shop and canteen isn't small at all, that's a great achievement!0 -

Avoiding the tuck shop and canteen is also good for your health/waistline and, as PIP says, not a small achievement.0
