And most people buy digital radios for choice. More choice means more sales.

BBC Radio Stoke area has three football teams.
At 3pm on Saturday, Stoke on FM, Port Vale on DAB, and Crewe on Freeview TV!
Of course BBC Sounds still has the crazy copyright rule preventing live football on a Saturday - I don't get that at all!

I've been looking for an affordable Dab+ radio, and there don't seem to be any.

My straw poll of the sub £50 radios is only about 10% are Dab+, and they are at the higher end.

I just wanted a £20 Dab+ box that works off 4 AAs to listen to Classic FM.

All this started when I was driving back from Tesco and Alan Titchmarsh  ws warning that in 2 weeks they would be on Dab+.

The funny thing is I listen to it in the car on FM, because Dab is a dead loss in the car when it is moving in the first place!
Amazon have a couple at around the £25 mark, although they're brands I'm not familiar with, or if you want a known option there's a Roberts radio for around £50.

I've been looking recently for a DAB+ kitchen radio.

B&M do a very basic DAB+ radio for £20 but would probably be okay for a kitchen.

How do you know it is Dab+ ?

    It doesn't say so.

I think The Best Plan is to wait a fortnight and see if my Domino D3 can still get Classic FM.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

If it's the same radio I can see from Revo, it appears to be one of the first radios to have DAB+ as standard. A few PURE Internet Radios from the late 2000s also support DAB+ without the need for an upgrade but they display the bitrate incorrectly.

You could check right now. See if Smooth Chill (there's a few more too) is displayed in the station list and plays audio when you select it. That station is broadcasting in DAB+ on the same multiplex as Classic FM.

Radio broadcasting is on the way out.  Just as TB broadcasting is on the way out.

In my home now, there are no radios.  I'm a fanatical radio listening, but Alexa is in all my rooms, including the bathroom. Not only can I change radio station whilst in the bath, I can alter the heating or the lighting. I can even answer the door. If Radio Bongo somewhere in Africa is DAB+, then I can get it via smart speaker.
Radio broadcasting is not on the way out

Pray tell us all how you think you know this and when it will be gone by

It actually does receive Boom Radio, and the info claims it is an unbelievably low bitrate AAC, so does that mean it is Dab+ ?

I read an old review that said the D3 was Dab+, but there is nothing in the manual about it, and it must be around 12 years old. (Dates from when they thought a "rubberised" coating that goes sticky was A Good Idea ;) )

I was/am confused by the stations that start with a ?   and claim to be zero bit rate mp2, wondering if they are Dab+.

EDIT:  I found smooth Chill! (It appears as Chill, Smooth C is Smooth Country)
32k AAC. Compare that with the 192k mp3 (320k AAC or FLAC on the pc with optical out to the amp) I can get Radio Paradise in over t'interweb and weep bitter tears....

Yes, Boom Radio does broadcast using DAB+ so your radio does support it and is ready for Classic FM. According to the Wohnort website, 24kbps mono. But I guess it's either low bitrate mono or not broadcast nationally as they did previously.

Stations that appear with a ? usually mean you've previously received them but they're not broadcasting or the signal isn't available.
