  • Don't appeal.  They are trying to ensnare you into a process that ends with an IAS Non-standard appeal which is a trap. Unlike IAS standard appeals, IAS Non-Standard appeal outcomes are legally binding on motorists and as IAS is a kangaroo court that is biased against motorists, you should have nothing to do with IAS that could result in a legally binding outcome.  Plus you have to pay IAS a £15 fee for the privilege of falling into the trap.

    Just prepare to defeat this one the usual way when and if court proceedings are started.  Be sure to update your V5 vehicle registration address every time you move home in the next 6 years and be sure to notify Open Parking of any new address and that you won't receive any post sent to your own address.  The easiest way for these scammers to get a CCJ is to get the court office to post papers to an old address so you don't receive them in time to defend yourself.

    @troublemaker22 is right.

    Just ignore it. Open Parking don't sue.

    Oh really? So is the incorrect picture of the car a part of that? I was hoping to just direct them to the fact that the evidence they have isn't even my car and just shows an alloy.
    @Coupon-mad is the NTK I've uploaded good enough to be added to the collection?

    The only evidence they have online is the below picture (where I have cropped out the reg and ticket number) - which isn't my car either:

    Hello all,
    Just an update on this. My info has been passed on to Empira and have had the following letters from them spaced about 2 weeks apart. Any ideas as to whether this will proceed to litigation? I want to point out that they have no evidence but as mentioned earlier in the thread, I don't want to get caught up in some ridiculous appeal I have to pay for.

    Yep, ignore Empira, who are connected to Gladstones solicitors.  A hated firm.
