The PiP and work news must be a huge relief. Did the workmen turn up?

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks Jwil, Beanie, TG, Lucielle, Skint, AK, LWAP and KK. Really appreciate your encouragement as ever. Towards the end of the week I'll do an annual financial round up - and then start a fresh diary.

Yes the job thing is a relief - there's still a lot of upheaval with teams being split in to completely different areas - and there's still uncertainty but it is better than I expected. £ and keeping Pip is a weight off my mind too. Sleep is still very hit and miss.

On the cleaner - DD's BF is going to give a go. Will see how that works in practice. On next door - her DH is very good at carpentry - and may be able to do my door adjustments, skirting boards and door frame etc. Will need to get a price off him.

The workmen turned up to take another chunk of £ off me - but not to work. I've paid 60% now all on CC so some protection. They reckon they should be able to do something tomorrow but it will depend if it snows some more. There's a digger and a trailer already here which should help but more materials still need to arrive on site. It was the most snow I've seen as an adult I reckon so sympathise with them not working today.

I've found a possible more local life drawing group tomorrow - will see if they reply to me. I shown my art tutor from the summer some of my recent sketches and she could see the progress. She suggested drawing from statues if I can't find another group. She's a great believer in learning by drawing from 3D not just photos.

I've put more washing away and done a little more tidying. I've found my labeller so will put that to use too which will hopefully help me find stuff in their newly allocated homes.

I signed back up to D+ so I can watch my fave Alice film again and others - it's a 6 month minimum but I'll get £2 a month back off my phone bill so not too bad.
