Thanks Lucielle
I've checked out some of my awaiting cashback sites - on the air rewards one - I have about £30 pending - some of which was from my phone purchase. On the TC site - I have nearly £80 pending once my hotels go through. I've just bought an NT voucher from there which gave me around 5.2% cashback - it all helps. I've also just withdrawn £5+ from £co to use at NT as they gave an 8% uplift.
It's pouring down with rain now. Makes me glad I took a long lunch - and did some gardening while the sun was still shining. I emptied about 4 pots into one of my new wooden planters. I will have to buy quite a bit more compost - probably from Mr A as they do smaller bags which are therefore easier to manoeuvre. I'll wait for it to stop raining though.
I sent £400 to my CC today - but given I spent at least £155 on it over the weekend it didn't make as much of a dent as it otherwise would of. That was mainly for my planters though so don't really regret it. I'm eagerly awaiting the midnight count down - and then need to decide whether to go ahead and buy a tablet or not. I've also been parking a number of things in my basket waiting for the sale to start to see if they are any cheaper. It looks like if I go via a cashback site there are further benefits on top.

Hope the work and the family health situations improve - very unsettling
Grounding yourself in nature is a great thing and your home sounds like it’s really coming onDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Have you thought about trying forest bathing to help with stress etc?

Thanks LWAP MF and @ladybird1106
Forest bathing is part of what I am trying to do currently. That and just generally getting our in nature more. These flowers were utterly stunning the other day. Not sure if I already shared them.
Awaiting family member test results today from CT with contrast. Feel like they already know but aren't sharing. Could be wrong though.
The GP is ringing me about my blood test results which also sounds ominous. Awaiting random calls for both but in office so slight awkward.
At least at work we are all commiserating with each other.
Just had call. Twice yearly blood test for me but OK for now.

Thanks Chrystal and Beanie
Took a day's credit to my flexi to finish early today and make up for last week. Went to old GP and chased transfer of records to new practice and said if you don't sort soon I'll request a copy of all my records and give a copy to new GP myself. New GP liked this idea!
Not looking good for relative. Possibly cancer in two areas. Awaiting further tests. Trying to support wider family and look after me. I stopped at pub on way home to eat as I was feeling overwhelmed and nearly caused a crash as it seems I pulled out on someone. Relieved avoided it or other person did. Shows we should offer others grace on the roads as we never know what they are facing.... And that sometimes we need to take a break sooner.
Hope all is well where you are. I bought compost on way back after meal and my fave cake.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks DIA - just seen I missed your earlier post.
Confession on spending
I bought a new tablet, keyboard and pen of the Am variety - I got a great deal because of their current special offers - plus they gave me close to £70 due to trading in a tablet from 2015! I should also get 5.2% cashback.
I have bought a new cordless lawnmower and strimmer - should get 8% cashback. Again looked for best deal which seemed to be the orange place. My lawnmower handle had bits snap off the other week and disappeared into the literal long grass so that was a need not just a want. I'd sown wildflower seeds in the front garden a few months ago and that is turning into a mini meadow - which is lovely for now but will need strimming later in the season.
I also got some walking poles - they were reduced by a third today and a few other bits and pieces. They are an essential to my new fitness journey.
Plus ate out - but that was budgeted. Some of the above is budgeted - and some like the lawnmower would legit come from savings etc... Will review where my savings are at - and potentially cream off some of the interest again. I got £15+ on my Reg Saver in annual interest but I had emptied it earlier in the year - so it's kind of not its fault it's not more I'll empty it now - and that will give me £90 odd towards some of the above.
I'll update my £ and see where I'm at.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
