Thanks BaileysBabe - I found it anyway although still need to actually go.
I had lunch out - braised steak and chips and peas at a local garden centre. Cheaper than the pub and tasty. I also got a few bits from primarni. Paid from my main account.
I nipped into an opticians to ask about issues I'm having with my varifocals / reading eye sight. I tend to take my glasses off and close one eye to read / look at phone close up etc - even thought technically I can see with my glasses on it's more comfortable without. He suggested a possible treatable cause - so going to investigate that more. I will have a fresh eyesight test tomorrow -but think will ask for a referral to an NHS eye specialist. I picked up numbers to call from my doctors before I went away. I still need to book a blood test too.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Lovely to hear about your wonderful holiday.I love Italy and one of my favourite holidays ever was a 2 centre holiday - Lake Garda and Viareggio (which is a beautiful little town)4

Thanks Blackcats
Italy was amazing. I will return at some point and hopefully explore that country and others. It being a smaller hotel helped - so need to think about that too.
Just watered the back garden. Still need to do the front. Didn't lose any plants while I was away which was a relief.
Still not caught up on diaries.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Glad you had a lovely time away. Great news about the parking, but disappointing about the cat sitter."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Thanks Jwil
The cat seems to have got over it although he seems to be staying closer to home than usual.
Well the Optician said I just needed a new prescription. I'm quite a bit less short sighted than the last Optician corrected for - and they failed to allow for my stigmatism. I should get my new glasses in 3 weeks. I bargained them down from £440 for 2 pairs for the tailor made type down to £350 - which I hope is how much I can reclaim on my health plan but have started to wonder now. I also negotiated a free eyesight test. They should be ready in 3 weeks. I will go back for an eye dilation test next week - will need to take the bus - and will re-do my field of vision test as I didn't fare well on that but it could be concentration lapses.
I used a gift voucher for a size 14!! stretchy summer dress and a size 16 very flattering top. It's exciting to be dropping sizes however I'm definitely losing weight more visibly from my top rather than bottom half - so need to step up the exercise. I'm having a coffee and then may nip out somewhere I can go for a walk.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Great news on the weight loss. Good bargaining at the opticians as well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3

My cat just brought me a gift as I'd left the patio door open. On taking that out to the bin - I discovered another gift. My least favourite part of being owned by a cat!!
I found a van where I could get chips topped with bacon and cheese. Very tasty. It was my first proper food of the day. £3.50. Was pleased with that. I picked up some milk in town, cheesecake, eggs and something else - so I'm going to have breakfast for tea as my milk was off this morning so ate out of sequence.
I'm hoping to make myself go for a walk near an aqueduct soon... Maybe... Will see how things go. Will start with watering the front pots that are bone dry.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
