This chat reminded me of this archive footage from the BBC, it made me smile a lot when I first saw it!

Hope you are enjoying your time with DS, and getting a chance to rest too. I had time with DD this weekend, and didn't really pace myself effectively, I got too wrapped up in wanting to enjoy things with her. A recovery week ahead I think!5 -
That archive popped up on social media the other week, I was grateful mine wouldn't be able to get a cheque book! Yes, she has pocket money, 50p and under goes in her tin, she lets us live in her home, share her bed, sofa, feed and clean up after her and our incomes keep her in the life she's become accustomed to 😳Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5

I had a lovely time away. With all you cat worshippers I didn't dare post that on Saturday I'd had to leave despite the cat not returning on time. I waited until 11am and I left him food and water outside. He didn't turn up for the cat sitter - but she topped up water and food outside - and he had been eating it. He returned within 5 minutes of me getting home!! He looked slightly scruffier but gobbled up lots of treats and demanded lots of strokes and was fine.
We had utterly glorious weather, doing a little shopping on day one followed by a visit to a lake in time for Sunset. The next day we went to some gardens and around a historic place. It was beautiful. Then yesterday I drove home and saw my parents on the way. Again the weather was kind. The journey back from them was horrific traffic wise but I set off at the wrong time so it is what it is...
Will post photos shortly. It's my birthday today and I'm off to Bodnant. I'm hoping to go bowling with DD and her BF later.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
