    This thread moves so quickly.
I wanted to encourage you to take the short art class but that comment was quite far back...

Thanks Lucielle, Beanie, MF, Jwil, Mark and DIA

Today has felt super busy. I definitely have not learned pacing yet!!

The builder came and was here a long time. I had a really good feeling about him though although I was very wiped by the time he left. The earliest he could do the work would be September which gives me extra time to save. I got him to give me some ball parks for the various things I'm interested in and they didn't seem too bad but I'll know more when the proper estimate comes back in writing within a couple of weeks or so. He also felt that downstairs could be screed in zones with parts blocked off so I didn't have to empty the whole bottom floor at once. He thinks it only needs a thin layer and that each zone would take about 3 hours to dry - so could potentially do 2 zones a day (it sounded like spread over a few days).

Mid afternoon I went and collected my sick note - 2 weeks YAY! - and my prescriptions. I also took them some docs to do with my ADHD meds. The current med provider has suggested I halve the dose for the first 6 days before going to full dose and suggested a method so will look to do that from tomorrow or Friday and see what difference that makes. I said to the receptionist - to scan them in and then potentially ask the GP to call me to discuss.

I then returned some curtains to D that don't fit. I then went to a couple of other shops including Morries and exhausted myself further. I had to keep sitting and even after paying - I sat on a bench and took me about 10 minutes to find the energy to return to my car! I found the plant section.... 2 house plants and 15 garden plants fell into my trolley along with 2 pretty plant pots. DS also sent me £ so I could buy a red and orange bunch of tulips. I also got some YS beef for roasting. I had a lovely rotisserie chicken for tea - together with roasties and veg (thanks to their prepared veg section).

Today I got a shock when I got a warning on a bank account. I'd sent the ISA £500 more than planned and nearly left myself short on that account. Thankfully I'd been holding on to £ for the handyman - but he'd earlier agreed to bill me Monday so just about got away with it.  I may consciously stooze to help create sufficient funds for the building works without emptying too much of savings / paying interest penalties - so I will cancel my planned sending of £ to the CC next pay month - and treat it as having been prepaid to the ISA instead. A couple of my regular savers mature in October - and the earliest the works are likely to start is September so hopefully it will all work out.

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks LWAP. Some ISAs let you replace withdrawn money too which is good.

I've been awake since 5am - mostly thinking about the different options I discussed with my potential builder. After a while gave up on sleep and started organising bedroom 2. I've emptied 3 boxes into shelving in bedroom 3 and just stacked the others at the side of the room. I'm very thirsty (mouth breather) so going to have a brew, banana and a tiny bit of ginger loaf and then go back to it with a hoover - and take up a bottle of water for me.

I bought a bike multi tool for a whole £4.50 yesterday which included some allen keys and found some on the floor of bed 2 !! - and I recently bought a cordless screwdriver - so I'm going to see if a) I can  wiggle the mattress off my existing bed to the side - and then try and dismantle the previous bed. I also need to unpack the new mattress but not risked that yet!! Baby steps. I'll let you know if I succeed.
